So I keep meaning to post more of the individual animals here at the sanctuary for people to get to know, but I’ve been slack with posting!
So here we have Angel-Haze, Lissie, and Little Angel!
These three girls are pretty well behaved and more reserved with humans than the others so they’re not usually at the front for pictures!
Angel Haze was given to me as she had bad fly strike at a few days old and couldn’t keep up with her mum. She’s now 7 years old!
Lissie was given to me as she’s got one front leg shorter than the others, and therefore she was rejected from a slaughterhouse due to being lame. She’s now 6 years old and wears a pink arthritis band to help her knees. In the winter she gets a little sandwich with pain relief in which she loves!
And Little Angel is one of two Shetland sheep here! Her and her sister Caramel are at the sanctuary as they were some of my Ex’s sheep that she no longer wanted when we broke up. They’re getting on a bit now but still a pair of loons! Angel especially has come around to having head scratches.

An interesting morning already! Today is my birthday 🥳 and I woke up to a call about a badly injured deer near my house 😩
After I dealt with the deer I rushed home to change and on my way to the animals found this little guy sat in the road… very thin but no fractures or canker so we’ll see how he goes with pain relief and some dinner!
The animal rescue doesn’t stop for birthdays, Christmas, bad days or good days! I’m helping my best friends move house today so I’m spending time with them which is great no matter what we’re doing! Plus them and their family surprised me with a vegan caterpillar cake!
After the year of hardship it’s nice to have some time to just appreciate the people in my life who had held me up during the worst times 🩷

Good morning from us at the sanctuary 🐑
Tiffany and Brandy my elderly rabbits are enjoying their breakfast of soaked rabbit pellets and grass nuts. As they’re getting on in years they have this soaked feed to supplement their normal diet of hay and fresh greens to make sure they’re getting all the nutrients they need.
Scoob one of the elderly guinea pigs having a nap after his favourite time of the day; breakfast!
And finally the not elderly Spirit and Lily discussing how to get their own special breakfast even though they are young and perfectly fine eating their hay 🤔

I’m as sick and tired of writing these posts as you all must be of seeing them at this point but I just don’t know what to do anymore.
I’ve started my new job’s training and everything but I don’t get paid until two weeks time and I’m currently £50 overdrawn. I have no idea how to scrape this last couple weeks together. I have been so depressed I can barely get out of bed most days for the last couple weeks and I just can’t get my head around how I can get by anymore.
If anyone can help get the animals through then please please know that we would all be so incredibly thankful. I just simply cannot do this alone.

This beautiful overbite boy from another sanctuary has been suffering terribly from the after effects of BTV (BlueTongue) and his people could do with some help if anyone has any pennies spare 🙏

A vet will be coming tomorrow to swab David's knees to see which antibiotics we should be using. He's been on antibiotics throughout his BTV episode and a month following his recovery aiming to reduce the knee issues without a whole lot of improvement.

The Girls ✨
Princess, Lilly, and Clover are enjoying some hay from the hay ball this afternoon. I bought it ten years ago and it’s still going strong!

I have finally started the training for my new job last week, so I am FINALLY earning some money, although I don’t get the first lay for a few weeks yet. I cannot wait to have a stable income again. These last few months have been so incredibly stressful, knowing I have something coming in each month soon has taken a bit of pressure off.
However the next three weeks will be the hardest 😬 I have completely depleted all my funds; savings, donations, and even my early birthday money from my lovely parents. They’ve been a good send even though they don’t have a lot. I’ve now got 30 cash to somehow feed the animals until mid October.
What I need to tide us until then is
2 x chicken feed
3 x rolled oats
1 guinea pig pellets
2 x sugar beet
1 x grass pellets
As you can imagine this costs much more than 30 quid 😩
Probably closer to 100!
If anyone can spare anything to help I would be so incredibly grateful 🙏 I couldn’t of gotten through these months with you all supporting us 🩷🩷🩷🩷

My little Bendy Wendy and Harry have got poorly footsies! Both had an abscess in one of their toes. When the weather changes and it’s still warm but the ground is wet sheep can get issues with their feet. Thankfully I could drain the abscesses and clean their feet up, and with some pain relief and a bandage for a couple days they’ll both be right as rain!
