September has been so soft and steady… definitely NOT like my last job 🤣

One of the perks of this work is being out in nature every day with your pets and watching the seasons slowly change - the tiny shifts you only notice when you’re walking the same paths week after week 🍂

And then a LOVELY, unexpected surprise to start the weekend… the most creative reservation board I’ve ever had (I may have wanted to bring it home). A proper pinch‑me moment that this is my life now. Thank you banc coffee & records 🫶🏻

And yes… the chances of my son tagging along are HIGH. They’re his favourite 🫣

The walks are getting soggier and I’m fully in my bin‑bag chic era, but the adventures aren’t slowing down 🧡🗑️

Dog walks, cat cuddles, rat bags… it’s been a whole mix lately.

Autumn isn’t fully here yet, but the crispy leaves have been around for a little while now - teasing the cosy season - and after a day full of doing what I love, I’m already anticipating coming home, getting cosy, and having a hot chocolate ☕️🍂

Anyone else already started the hot choccy or am I too early? 👀

🐶 TODAY IS INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY 🐾

A day to celebrate the silly, sweet, chaotic, affectionate, bubble-chasing, snuffle-ball-sniffing, stick-finding dogs who brighten our days.

I’m looking forward to heading to the event at banc coffee & records later, supporting Friends of Newport Dogs 🐾🧡 and celebrating all things dog.

A peek into my pet‑care world lately… 👀

Lots of walkies (need to get my Garmin back on 🤣), an adorable meet & greet, tall‑grass zooooomies, soggy doggies, pup cups and and that classic moment where you go to take the dog out… and suddenly you’re greeted by both the dog and the cat because they’ve decided they’re equally obsessed (and jealous) with the attention.

Don’t worry- I’ve got you both 🤣

It’s been a wholesome blur of routines, zoomies, tiny paws, and all the different personalities that keep me on my toes (and occasionally soaked) 🤣🫶🏻

So… are you team puppy, soggy doggy, tall‑grass zoomies or cat cameo? 💁🏼‍♀️

Exciting life things happening with my growing pet‑care business… ✨

I had an insightful and inspiring conversation with a strategist to discuss big plans Sian Howarth | Brand + Space Strategist 👀). Iced tea in hand (if you know me, you’ll know my unhealthy obsession with the stuff) and both of us sticky as anything.

I joined the painting session at Newport City Dogs Home to help brighten the kennels for the doggo residents. Moments where our community comes together genuinely restore your faith in people… although animals may still win every time 🫣

And then the cosiest throwback to a recent pet sit - snuggles, walkies, needs met, more snuggles. Arlo being the sweetest boy, kiss‑attacks, woodland strolls, and him constantly checking back on me like my little shadow.

Pets, pets, more pets, PROGRESS, iced tea, and building something I truly love. This business feels like another child/pet to me, and I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished so far.

My first ever Social Dog Walk… and it was the loveliest start 🤎🌿

A gentle morning with a really sweet group of doggos and humans. Plenty of space, calm pacing, and a couple of safe off‑lead moments once everyone felt comfortable together.

Stanley found his stick (as always), the dogs moved beautifully as a group, and the whole walk had such a peaceful feel to it.

A special mention for Flash, who joined us today - he’s an ex‑resident of Newport City Dogs Home, and learning his story made the morning even more meaningful. Watching him settle in (even with his “species‑ist” sighthound preferences 🤣) was honestly so lovely.

I’m genuinely grateful to everyone who came along and made the first walk feel so warm and welcoming.

Each Social Walk includes an optional donation to Fonds - Friends Of Newport Dogs, helping support special dogs just like Flash 🐶

Already looking forward to September’s walk - keep an eye out for the date 👀🗓️
