Encouraging curiosity rather than just seeing it as 'something to get past as quickly as possible' means you are changing their brain pathways from learning: 'this is something to be scared of in the future', to 'this is something I have met before and it didn't eat me!'

The more opportunities your horse has to strengthen this positive pathway, the calmer your horse will be when it comes across other 'potential monsters' 👻 👽 🤖 !!

Make the most of every opportunity!

What an incredible day Northumberland College Equestrian Centre at Kirkley Hall !
Thank you and well done to all who came along, from yearlings to golden oldies, children to the 'young at heart!'

The focus as always was to encourage curiosity which can then lead to confidence. It was wonderful to see even the youngest riders recognising the subtle signs of hightened stress and knowing when to ask and when to pause - well done!

Here are some of the highlights, I will add the rest 1 group at a time to help you find them!
