Some dogs play together.
Some dogs take turns.

Sully plays… until he wins.

Recruiter’s Field Notes
Subject: Sully
Role: Asset Control / Ball Retention Specialist

Sully engages fully in group play.
Physical. Bouncy. Enthusiastic.

Until the ball appears.
At which point… priorities shift.

Observed strengths:
- Strong possession instinct
- Excellent environmental scanning
- High-speed interception capability
- Unwavering commitment to maintaining control

Working style:
All in.
All play.
Then… highly strategic.

Team impact:
Play escalates quickly.
Ball is acquired.
Game concludes (for everyone else).

Preferred conditions:
Open space.
Clear sight lines.
One (1) ball.

Not suited to:
Shared ownership.
Loose rotation systems.
Optimistic retrievers.

Additional notes:
Sully does not chase the ball.
He becomes responsible for it.

If possession is lost,
he will closely monitor the current holder
until the situation is corrected.

Attempts to reintroduce group play
have been noted.
They have not been successful.

Verdict: Retained.
Reason: Ball secured. Return unlikely.

Mr Charlie Cocker
The original instigator.

Before Olive & Oscar’s…
there was just a borrowed dog,
a quiet walk,
and the sense that something needed to change.

He didn’t know, of course.
He just did what Cockers do;
ran, explored, insisted on joy…

…and somewhere in all of that,
everything shifted.

Today he went in for surgery.
The kind that asks for stillness, patience…
and no unnecessary movement
(all of his least favourite things).

So for now,
the dog who started the adventure
has to pause it.

We’ll all be rooting for you, Charlie.

Take your time. Heal properly.
We’ll be right here when you’re ready. 🌿

- Love you, wee man ā™„ļø

šŸ„‡ DOGOLYMPICS CANDIDATE PROFILE

Some dogs take their time.
And then become impossible to stop.

Recruiter’s Field Notes
Subject: Chester
Role: Late Bloomer

Chester didn’t rush his start.
He took his time.

Observed strengths:
- Strong environmental awareness
- Ability to build confidence through experience
- High-speed play and chase
- Deep, reliable bonds within his group

Working style:
Considered.
Then committed.

Chester doesn’t do halfway.
Once he’s in - he’s all in.

Team impact:
Instigates play.
Keeps pace with the fastest.
Holds his own; with everyone.

What was once cautious is now confident.
And entirely his own.

Best environment:
Consistency
Familiar faces
Space to settle and then thrive

Not suited to:
Being rushed into something he hasn’t chosen

Additional notes:
Previously more reserved in group settings.
Now often the one initiating movement and play.

Fast.
Capable.
Fully settled.

He didn’t change.
He arrived.

Outcome: retained
Reason: earned confidence

Jonny’s Arena Notes:

Chester took a while to register.
Now he’s impossible to ignore.

Ball work: exceptional.
Speed: unnecessary, but impressive.

Will appear from nowhere, secure the ball,
and return it, immediately, ready for the next round.

No hesitation.
No second thoughts.
No interest in keeping it for himself.

Unlike Sully šŸ˜†

Often mistaken for a quiet one.
He is not.

More of a Tasmanian devil with good manners.

Verdict: Retained.
Reason: Speed deployed effectively. Retrieval rate remains unmatched.

DogOlympics Placement

Event: Retrieval Relay (Anchor Leg)

Chester doesn’t chase for chaos.
He chases with purpose.

Reliable under pressure.
Fast enough to close any gap.
Returns the ball - every time.

When others lose focus…
Chester finishes the job.
