Here we go again…. Away for another working tour around South Africa 🇿🇦sad to be leaving my horses and clients again, but I know they are in really good hands as always, long travel time till time until I get to my destination tomorrow evening 🙈✈️ several trains, planes and automobiles involved ….

What a whirlwind few days again ! 🐴✈️🇬🇧🇪🇸
It’s certainly been a case of multiple
Bags pack and ready to choose from !

First stop was the British Dressage Regional Awards, where I was incredibly humbled to be nominated for an award. A lovely occasion and a real privilege to be amongst so many wonderful people volunteers, coaches and riders in the dressage world. 💙

Then it was straight on to a fantastic treat for Mum and me — with British dressage gifting us a fantastic trip to the eventing show at Horse of the Year Show with some excellent Gold Tickets! 🌟 We made the most of our time away, enjoying the super VIP seats and watching some brilliant classes. A very special evening and a well-deserved chance to enjoy a little downtime together.
Well… downtime didn’t last long! 😂 A quick drive home, barely time to turn around, and then straight back on the road to Luton for an overnight plane for Barcelona, an early meeting the next morning. Sleep? Apparently optional!
So with Barcelona 🇪🇸 the next stop for a really productive IGEQ meeting, working on our tourism matrix and qualification support. Some great discussions, valuable work and plenty to get stuck into — all before a very brief break to see this stunning city before a flight back to London tonight….
And because life clearly wasn’t busy enough… it’s then going to a drive home only to have to be nearly get back into the car and off to Larkhill, Salisbury ready for an 8.30am start tomorrow morning! 🚗🐎 coaching for a few days. Who needs sleep anyway?! 🤣😴 it’s certainly been a busy few days, but full of lovely experiences, great people and worthwhile work.

I know I’m not allowed to have favourites but anyone who knows me will know what I have always thought about this boy “Revenge” ❤️ a horse who serves his county and comes out and competes very competitively onna national stage.

Another few crazy weeks in the diary — and definitely time to catch up on the social media! 🤩
It’s been non-stop, but what a few weeks it has been.
First stop was Scotland, presenting at horsescotland Coach Assembly, where I had the opportunity to be part of the presenting team to share and explore a number of coaching concepts.
A big focus was encouraging riders to take greater ownership of their own learning and development — helping them become more independent, make better decisions and ultimately perform when their coach isn’t standing next to them.
We also worked with elite riders through challenges designed to progressively increase the pressure and demands they experience, helping them develop the skills and resilience needed to perform when it really counts in competition.
Then it was a long drive home and straight on to the Pony Club Nations Cup 🇬🇧🇮🇪🏴🏴
This time I had the huge privilege of being Chef d’Équipe for England, and what a fantastic weekend it was!
There was a real Nations Cup atmosphere, with teams representing England, Scotland, the Republic of Ireland, Ireland and Wales. With 105 and 110 teams competing, the standard was seriously impressive.
A huge thank you to BEDE Events for hosting the weekend so brilliantly, and toBritish Eventing Official for supporting the concept and helping create such a fantastic opportunity for these The Pony Club riders.
At times it was genuinely difficult to pick out the Pony Club riders from the senior international competitors — they were riding with such confidence and professionalism and did themselves, their teams and the Pony Club incredibly proud. 👏
And to make the weekend even more special, the England teams came away with the team wins! 🇬🇧🏆
As Chef d’Équipe, it was a real privilege to be part of it — supporting the riders, working with the coaches and team staff, Dave Burton and watching the teams come together and perform under pressure.
Huge congratulations to every rider involved, and a massive thank you to the parents, coaches, team managers, officials, organisers and all the people working behind the scenes who make these opportunities possible.
A very busy few weeks, but some fantastic experiences and plenty to be proud of! 🙌🐴
