Did I hear you say : " I dont treat during winter as there are no ticks around !"
I suppose with warmer winters, ticks are active all year round.
If you do not have a tick preventative treatment, then check your pet when they come back inside.
If unsure, bring your pet to your vet, to have the tick removed without risking to leave the rostrum behind.
Ticks should be removed within 24h of attachment to avoid transmission of deadly disease.
Well ... here it is, removed from a cat this week.. yep in February !! 🧐
