Early morning walkies to beat the heat while still soaking up the sunshine ☀️🐾 Keeping every pup safe, happy, and cool is always the priority.

At Paws & Pals, safety is always our top priority, especially in this heatwave!! So here are some top tips for keeping dogs cool in warm weather:
🐶 Walk early or later in the evening — safer temperatures help prevent overheating and burnt paws.
💧 Always carry fresh water — staying hydrated keeps energy levels up and helps regulate body temperature.
🌳 Stick to shaded areas where possible — reduces direct sun exposure and keeps walks more comfortable.
🔥 Check the pavement with your hand — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws.
🧊 Cooling mats, damp towels, or paddling pools can help dogs cool down safely at home after walks.
