🐀🌿 NEW! MISCHIEF MADE FORAGE BOXES HAVE ARRIVED! 🌿🐀

What happens when you give a group of rats an entire box full of things to sniff, rummage through, forage for, eat and inevitably throw everywhere?

We decided to find out. 😂

Introducing the Mischief Made Forage Box — a ready-to-go box of edible enrichment that you simply OPEN and PLACE STRAIGHT INTO THE CAGE.

No preparation. No scattering things around. No setting up elaborate enrichment activities.

Just pop the box in and let the mischief begin. 🐀🐀🐀

Inside is a big, interesting mixture of echinacea leaves & stems, herbs, flowers and dehydrated goodies, creating loads of different smells, colours, tastes and textures for curious little noses to investigate.

And because rats have opinions, obviously one box wasn’t enough…

🥩 THE MEATY ONE
For the rats who go absolutely feral for the savoury stuff. Includes extra animal-based protein alongside all that lovely forage.

🌱 THE VEGGIE ONE
Plant-based and packed with variety — also a great choice for older rats or mischiefs where you’re keeping protein intake lower.

🍓 THE FRUITY ONE
For the rats who somehow manage to locate the fruity bits approximately 0.4 seconds after being given anything.

🤩 THE FULLY LOADED
Why pick a side? LOAD. IT. UP. A proper mixture for rats who want a bit of everything.

The idea is ridiculously simple:

Put box in cage → add rats → watch chaos unfold. 😂

They can climb into it, dig around, hunt out their favourite pieces, disappear underneath the forage, argue over something despite there being another identical piece six inches away…

Basically, you provide the box. They provide the entertainment. 💚

⚠️ Senior rat note: The Meaty One contains additional animal protein, so it may not be the best option for older rats or rats on a kidney-conscious/lower-protein diet. We’d suggest The Veggie One instead.

🌿 More variety. More colour. More interesting bowls! 🐀

We’ve been giving our Shunamite mixes a little extra something — adding even more variety to make mealtimes interesting, colourful and nutritionally diverse.

🌸 Premium Flower Mix
A beautiful (and ridiculously good-smelling!) blend of marigold, hibiscus, rose, cornflower and blue mallow. Flowers bring natural plant compounds, variety, different textures and plenty of opportunities for rats to rummage around and pick out their favourites.

🥕 Even more fruit & veg variety
Our dehydrated selection includes carrot, beetroot, parsnip, courgette, mixed peppers, apple, banana, pea flakes, pumpkin, kale, greens, broccoli and more — adding different colours, flavours, textures and micronutrients throughout the mix.

🌻 Seeds & grains
Including linseed, h**p, red & white millet, sunflower seeds, whole maize and barley rings. Different sizes and textures encourage natural foraging and make a bowl much more interesting than eating the same thing in every mouthful.

🐛 Mealworms & Pupae
Our standard Shunamite contains a mixture of animal-protein sources, including mealworms, pupae and Scottish salmon-based kibble, rather than relying on a single protein ingredient.

🌱 And our Plant Based, Kidney Kind Low Protein mix?

That one does things differently.

There are no mealworms, pupae or fish-based kibble. Instead, we use soya flakes as the protein component, keeping it completely plant based while providing a lower-protein option designed with older rats and kidney-conscious feeding in mind.

Same philosophy: variety, smell, colour, texture and lots of opportunities to forage.
Just a different nutritional approach. 💚

Because a good rat mix shouldn’t just tick boxes on paper — it should be something they’re genuinely excited to dig into. 🐀🌾🌸

The flowers smell ridiculously good. Apparently rat food now smells better than ours!
