Meet Sonny 🐰

Sonny is a 14hh 16 year old Connemara gelding, but more than that, he is my absolute pride and joy 💕

He is the cuddliest and most affectionate pony I’ve ever met, he is often found demanding kisses off anyone within his reach. His gentleness, sweetness and affection is what really made me fall in love with him in the first place.

However.. don’t be fooled! The second your bum hits the saddle Sonny is a speed demon 👹🚀 He is the strongest, most sensitive and fastest thing I’ve ever sat on and he is a very complicated ride. This is why Sonny and I have had quite a journey getting to know each other and finally after 3 and a half years of riding him, I finally feel like we understand each other.

My absolute one in a million that I wouldn’t change for the world. The smallest achievements to other people mean the most to us because there was a time that we couldn’t ride in an arena with poles or jumps set out in fear that he would bolt (which happened most days) and I wouldn’t have the space to emergency circle and stop.

(Of course I’m still in my pyjamas - my boss said it was fine 🤪)
