Staff vacancy

We currently have a vacancy for a part time member of staff working Saturdays and Sundays.

The ideal applicant will have a good knowledge of fish keeping and the confidence to converse with customers enthusiastically and politely. Some shop work experience would be useful .

If you feel you meet the above requirement’s and would enjoy working in a busy retail environment advising and assisting in the hobby you are passionate about please get in touch .

The Red-tailed penguin tetra (Thayeria sp. ‘red tail Teles Pires’) is a recent arrival that’s starting to appear in our stores as captive bred specimens. Like many penguin tetras it seems to be most comfortable at the water’s surface and when settled in a furnished aquarium the colours intensify significantly. Care seems to be identical to the commonly seen T. boehlkei but as these fish are only a few generations from the wild, soft water would probably be appreciated. LN/000003631
