Loud bangs, flashing lights and unfamiliar noises can leave pets feeling anxious, stressed or scared.

If your pet tends to become nervous or distressed around fireworks, now is the perfect time to prepare!

🎆 In the lead up to firework season, it's a good idea to establish a pet den! Notice where your pet naturally chooses to retreat and make it comfortable and inviting.

Consider adding:

✅ Their favourite bed or comfortable blankets
✅ Familiar toys and blankets carrying familiar scents
✅ Water nearby so they don’t need to leave their safe space
✅ A favourite chew, treat or enrichment activity, if they want it

The aim is for this to become an established safe space well before fireworks begin. Here's a pet den our surgery team have created to help give you some inspiration!

🚨FOUND CAT – GREEN WRYTHE LANE AREA

A young black and white cat, approximately 1 year old, has been brought into The Pet Vet Morden after being found in the Green Wrythe Lane area, following a suspected road traffic accident.

The cat is alive and currently in our care.

Unfortunately, the cat is not microchipped, so we have been unable to identify or contact the owner.

If you believe this may be your cat, please contact our team as soon as possible.
