Matted Dogs Policy
Severely matted coats may need to be clipped short to protect your dog’s comfort and welfare. We will not carry out extensive dematting if we believe it may cause unnecessary pain or distress.
Matting can conceal skin problems, sores or parasites, and removing tight mats may occasionally cause redness or irritation. Extra charges may apply for heavily matted dogs due to the additional time and care required.
We will always prioritise your dog’s welfare and may recommend veterinary attention if we have concerns about their skin or overall condition.
Your dog’s health, comfort and welfare are our priority.
Older dogs may need extra breaks, shorter grooming sessions, or additional support while standing.
Please tell us about any medical conditions, medications, mobility problems, or recent changes in your dog’s health before their appointment.
Elderly dogs may be more sensitive to heat, stress, handling and prolonged standing, so grooming may need to be adapted accordingly.
We may alter or shorten the requested groom if necessary to keep your dog comfortable and safe.
If we notice any unusual lumps, skin problems, injuries, or other concerns, we will inform you after the groom.
If we believe grooming is unsafe due to your dog’s health or condition, we reserve the right to stop the groom and recommend veterinary advice.
Owners should remain contactable during the appointment in case we need to discuss any concerns.
Please understand that elderly dogs can have an increased risk of complications during grooming, and we will take every reasonable precaution to minimise this risk.
Dog Grooming Drop-Off & Collection Policy
Please arrive at your scheduled drop-off time to avoid delays to other appointments.

We will contact you when your dog is ready for collection.
Please collect your dog promptly once you have been notified.
Late collection may incur an additional charge where it causes disruption to the salon or requires extended supervision.
If you are going to be late for collection, please let us know as soon as possible.
Only authorised persons should collect a dog. Please inform us in advance if someone else will be collecting your dog.
Dogs will only be released once payment has been made in full.
If a dog becomes distressed, unwell, or cannot safely complete the groom, we may contact you to arrange an earlier collection.
We appreciate your patience at drop-off and collection, as grooming times can vary depending on each dog’s individual ne
