What a change in the weather! Here's Benny boy tucking into breakfast after escaping the rain. I thought I had best let him finish his breakfast before I started, gave me a chance to dry out too 😁

Jessy and her pawrents are doing such a good job with her exercises and rehab plan. I'm so pleased to see her progressing, slowly but surely ☺️ Watch this space for more great work from this team

Absolutely zonked after her first fitness and conditioning session! (A bit like me after this week!) 😁

UPDATE - GREAT NEWS - reunited with his owner. Celt had been stolen in Wales several weeks ago, we are thrilled that he is back with his owner where he belongs. ❤️❤️ This little guy has been found at Norton in Hales, he has a microchip but we are currently unable to access the details from the microchip provider. He is now safely at Hillbrae Kennels.

One of the most misunderstood words in dog behaviour? Socialisation. 🐾

When many people hear the word socialisation, they think it means their dog should meet every dog, greet every person, and be involved in everything around them.

In reality, good socialisation is about teaching a dog to feel calm, confident and neutral in the world around them.

A well-socialised dog doesn't need to say hello to every dog they see. A well-socialised dog doesn't need attention from every person they pass.
They simply need to understand that these things exist and can choose to remain relaxed around them.

Sometimes the best socialisation looks incredibly boring:
✨ Watching the world go by.
✨ Settling on a bench.
✨ Observing dogs from a distance.
Learning that they don't need to interact with everything.

Socialisation isn't about creating a social butterfly, it's about creating a dog that can confidently navigate the world around them. 🐾
