Hey everyone!

We haven't posted for a while as life has taken over for a little bit...

We wanted to ask...

What would make life easier on your dog owning/training/ behavioir journey?

It could be online resources... public training sessions... live QnA sessions...

Please share your ideas with us so we can have a brainstorm on the best way to help our followers ☺️🐾🫶🏻

Freddie is a dog walking client of who has been struggling to connect to his humans on a walk.

He finds the environment, and all it contains is far more entertaining than us mere humans. As you can imagine, this doesn't help him when he is off lead, because he doesn't care whether his humans are there or not, and that can become quite dangerous for him...

We worked on engaging him at a level that matches the environment, as well as actually using the environment to reward him for checking in and engaging with our training games.

He did very well as there were plenty of distractions around, but he remained connected and, after disengaging with them, got his rewards aplenty.

Darcy was back this weekend for a walk n train session. Her owner struggles with her anxiety when she walks Darcy, and so we had a talk about how to deal with situations that may arise in real time.

I don't just aim to help dogs, I help their people too.

Owners are a very important piece of the puzzle. Without their compliance, skills, and confidence, their dogs can't achieve their best, so we need them 🙂

🎙️ Back on this morning talking all things *dog anxiety* 🐾

With Dog Anxiety Awareness Week coming up, we discussed something I see every single day…

Anxiety in dogs doesn’t always look like fear.
Sometimes it looks like barking, lunging, pulling, or behaviours people label as “naughty”.

But behaviour isn’t disobedience… it’s communication.

Your dog isn’t giving you a hard time — they’re having a hard time.

We talked about:
🐾 The subtle signs most people miss
🐾 What forms of anxiety there is
🐾 How to actually help your dog feel safe and confident
🐾 If lions feel anxiety! 😅

If your dog struggles with the world around them, you’re not alone — and there *is* a better way forward.

I lost my training mojo with my own dogs in recent months, but consider this as us back on the horse!

We have a new step, so I'll be teaching back foot targets for the next few weeks and see if we can get some tricks to do with this 😁

The squad currently know about 40 tricks, so this should be fairly easy for them 😁

I will be sharing progress as we go 😁
