The Daxie Doos

1 year on from opening our doors and we have so many great customers, but more importantly sausages that have entered our home and our ♥️’s - because home from home is truly our mantra.

Caring for your babies as if they are ours, means that bonds are formed on both sides and their welfare and safety truly is at the forefront of everything we do.

That’s why is not just about cuddles, snuggles 🥰 , walkies and play … it’s about adhering to legislation and safety measures enforced by Defra, The Council and The Animal Welfare Act 2006. Which is why having a Licenced establishment matters… there are audits, strict guidelines on numbers, keeping up to date records , cleaning 🧹 regimes and enrichment / exercise 🐾 plans that need to be recorded and adhered to. Emergency ‼️ plans, accident records and health data all that can be called upon to make sure that The Daxie Doos is truly looking after your Sausage in the right way.

Amazing time celebrating 1 year of us !

We couldn’t have done it without our amazing customers and sausages that have graced us with the opportunity of looking after them during day care and holiday

Great turn out today - and that was about a 1/3 of our sausages / customers !

Wow & Just Like that….

The Daxie Doos is 1 !

I have been absolutely bowled over by the support and custom that The Daxie Doos has received.

What started as a pipe dream in memory of my Daughter, has become a successful Dachshund Hotel and we are blessed to have so many amazing sausages come for day care and holiday stays.

We love having your babies and treating them like our very own, and look forward to seeing all of you in Year 2 as we continue to offer our 🏠 from 🏡 experience for your sausages.

Seriously thanking you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️.

Yay he is coming home !

Sorry if we have been quiet at The Daxie Doos HQ but our resident boy has been very poorly and has spent the last 3 nights Royal Veterinary College being cared for by the amazing

Saturday evening we came home to a very swollen faced Kurtis and his condition rapidly deteriorated to be unable to walk - but moreover no connection between brain and body, so totally disconnected with extreme tremors 😞

Luckily he doesn’t have anything life threatening or permanent debilitation, but gradually over the last 24 hours he is able to walk - still trembling, but we are on the road to getting him well.

I literally cannot fault the amazing care and professionalism that Kurtis has received and the way we have been kept informed in regard to Kurtis’s condition and progress, during which has been such a heart breaking time. We have literally missed him sooooo much but he has been in the best possible place.

Our little man has been such a brave boy and we are so immensely thankful that he is able to come home today.

The next couple of weeks needs to be stress free and quiet for Kurtis to enable him to regain his confidence and return to his better self!

Please bear with me if I don’t respond as quickly as I normally would as I need to take care of my boy 🫶🏻❤️🐾

🐾🌸 **The Daxie Doo's Availability for Next Year** 🌸🐾

I already have a few holiday boarding bookings and enquiries for next year (some of you are just as organised as me... maybe even more! 😂).

To make sure both myself and my little sausages get some well-earned downtime, I've planned and scheduled my holiday boarding availability from **January through to August**. My hope is that this helps everyone plan ahead and secure their dates, so nobody is left disappointed ☹️. You don’t have to book all the block btw

Thank you so much to every single one of you for your support, trust, recommendations, and for choosing The Daxie Doo's to care for your precious pups. Seeing my little sausage retreat grow has been amazing, and I truly couldn't have done it without you all. ❤️

🐶 **Regular day care availability is also available on Mondays & Tuesdays.**
