Things I’ve noticed with dogs recently 👀
A few common themes have been coming up a lot lately with owners, and if any of these sound familiar, you’re definitely not the only one.
1️⃣ Dogs struggling with changes in routine
With bank holidays, busier weekends, hotter weather and people being out more, I’ve noticed quite a few dogs feeling a bit unsettled when their usual routine changes. More clinginess, barking, pacing or struggling to settle at home.
2️⃣ Owners feeling guilty about leaving their dogs
This comes up so often. Whether it’s work, appointments or needing a bit of time for themselves, so many owners feel guilty leaving their dog - especially if they’re sensitive or anxious. You’re not a bad owner for needing support.
3️⃣ Dogs needing calmer, more consistent support
Not every dog thrives in loud, chaotic environments or rushed walks. A lot of dogs actually do better with calm handling, familiar routines and someone who takes the time to understand them properly.
Honestly, so many owners are carrying the same worries behind the scenes, even if nobody talks about it openly.
If any of these sound familiar and you’re looking for calm, thoughtful dog walking support, I currently have availability for new dog walking clients 🐾
