🐷 Petunia 🐷

Petunia is definitely looking more and more like an old lady every day 🥺

She must be at least 12, which not super old for a pig, but she seems to be shrinking & looking more fragile every time we see her. She’s had a bad back recently, so has had some pain relief and seems to be doing ok.

She’s still managing her favourite activity, napping, at every opportunity 💤

There’s one very distinctive looking piggo at Footprints…. Anyone know who this is? 🐷🐷

Excited to welcome three incredible bands to The Rigger, all ready to support Footprints Animal Sanctuary!

📅 Friday 16th October

🎟 £8 Entry OTD

Old friends Active Minds from Scarborough will be bringing their political, hardcore music to the stage.

Stokie mates Herbie Jack are coming along with their reggae/ska/punky mix.

And here for the first time, West Yorks band, The Couldn't Care Less (TCCL) with their old-school 80's style hardcore.

Once again, huge thanks to The Rigger and bands for being absolute legends giving their time and energy to raise funds to help the many rescued animals at Footprints.

Tickets are £8 on the door. There'll be merch for sale and a fantastic raffle full of vegan goodies, along with a donated merch pack from locals Headsticks.

"Yes, Butterfly. All of you. You will all become clouds one day, just like your parents did before you." ⛅️ 🐑

Butterfly had his ear amputated just over a month ago and two weeks ago complications set in. He had a week of super strong antibiotics and steroids and seemed to be on the mend. But then his face started to swell, his lymph nodes were super swollen and he had a couple of lumps on his neck.

We think his tumour had spread, and it wasn’t fair on him to try any more. He was dizzy, struggling to digest his food and tired.

Butterfly had been with us for a long time, he was one of the first sheep to join us in Madeley. It hit hard. Yesterday was such a sad day.

We can only move forward reminding ourselves that we tried our best, and he’s now no longer in pain ❤️‍🩹

Rest easy pal, I’m so sorry it didn’t work out as we’d planned. 😔
