the out of office is now on - I know there’s a few people to get back to who’s messaged today, which I’ll get back to later today. Anything received after this evening will not be seen or got back to until Tuesday when i am back.

It’s been an unusual few days in the salon and I just want to make a clear post on the safety of grooming, including medicated grooms.

The safety and well-being of your pet is our absolute highest priority.

To ensure a safe environment for all animals and my team, I am strictly enforcing the following policies regarding behavior-modifying medications.🚨

Mandatory Advance Disclosure Prior Notice Required: You must inform us at least 24 hours before your appointment if your dog has been administered any prescription sedatives, anti-anxiety medications or calming supplements.

Veterinary Approval: We require written or verbal confirmation from your prescribing veterinarian stating that the pet is medically cleared to be groomed while taking the medication.

🛑 Right to Refuse Service for Undisclosed Sedation: If a pet arrives under the influence of undisclosed medication, the appointment will be cancelled immediately. The full charge of the groom will apply.

Safety Risks: Sedatives alter a pet's heart rate, blood pressure, temperature regulation, and balance. Grooming a sedated animal with sharp tools and high-velocity dryers poses a severe medical risk.

For pets requiring heavy sedation to be handled, we strongly recommend booking your grooming appointments directly through a licensed veterinary clinic where medical staff are present to monitor vital signs.

Matted dogs: If your dogs arrives severely matted, for whatever reason - please know there is no judgement, however the coat will be shaved. I will NOT de-Matt. Your dog will look very different on pickup, and where matting is tighter the groom may look slightly uneven, however the priority is removing the coat safely. The salon will ALWAYS put humanity before vanity - always.

There is a matting policy in place where an extra fee will be applied.

Abuse towards staff of any kind will NOT be tolerated and you will be blacklisted.

it’s really sad actually to be writing this post however I’ve had some really uncomfortable interactions with customers recently and comments have been made which do not align with the salons values.

It’s humanity before vanity - ALWAYS

I do want to end on a lighter note and a thank you to all my regular and returning clients for your continued custom and the politeness and understanding you carry with you of my policy’s. Please know this never goes unnoticed.

(Also the C word is around the corner!!! We’re probably 2-3 grooms away for most of your pups! If you’d like to book in for Christmas and ensure you have the day and time that you’d like - I’d recommend booking sooner rather than later!!)

Now while it’s far from a perfect colouring (especially on those paws 🥲) I’m so grateful trusted me with this! I am OBSESSED !

Athena was requested to have a pink tail and paws. Was definitely a trial to see how the colour takes to the fur but I think it turned out pretty cool! Especially for my first time of ever doing something like this!!

Thank you Harley for putting your trust in me with Athena, can’t wait to see what we get to do next!!
