🍂🐱 October is nearly here! 🎃
As the days get shorter and the weather gets cooler, there are a few seasonal things to keep in mind for our feline friends.
🎆 Firework season – October can bring the first fireworks. Create a safe, cosy space at home and keep windows, doors and cat flaps secure if your cat is nervous.
🌙 Darker evenings – cats are more difficult to spot on the roads at dusk and after dark, so take extra care if your cat goes outdoors.
🏠 Keep them cosy – provide a warm, dry place to sleep and always check sheds, garages and other outbuildings before closing them up.
🚗 Check under your bonnet – cats may seek warmth around parked cars. Give the bonnet a gentle tap before starting your engine.
🧪 Beware of antifreeze – even small amounts can be extremely dangerous to cats. Keep products safely stored and clean up any spills straight away.
🎃 Halloween treats are for humans! – keep chocolate and other potentially harmful foods well out of paw’s reach.
