Sweet little Sadie came in to be spayed today by Roy. 💕

She was an absolute star for her procedure and enjoyed plenty of cuddles while she recovered. Spaying helps prevent unwanted litters and can reduce the risk of several health problems later in life, giving your cat the best chance at a long, healthy future.

We hope you’re feeling back to your usual self soon, Sadie! 🐾💙

Recovery is always a little easier with a cuddle. 🖤🐾

After their procedure today, Moe decided there was only one place they wanted to be—snuggled up with Roy, one of our vets. Safe to say Roy didn’t mind being chosen as the recovery pillow!

It’s completely normal for cats to be a little sleepy, wobbly, or extra affectionate after an anaesthetic. Once they’re home, a warm, quiet place to rest is often exactly what they need while they recover.

We hope you’re feeling back to your happy, mischievous self very soon, Moe! 💚

Has your cat ever become extra cuddly after a trip to the vets? We’d love to hear your stories in the comments! 🐱

Meet Gus… then and now! 🖤

From a fluffy 13-week-old kitten to a magnificent 11-month-old giant, Gus has done some serious growing! It’s hard to believe these two photos were taken less than a year apart.

Maine C***s are one of the largest domestic cat breeds, and they don’t stop growing as quickly as many other cats. In fact, they can continue to fill out until they’re 3–5 years old—so Gus still has some growing left to do!

We can’t wait to see how impressive he looks on his next visit. 🐾

Has your kitten surprised you with how much they’ve grown? Share your then-and-now photos in the comments! 📸

🌞 Is your cat keeping cool in this heatwave? 🐱

As temperatures rise, it’s important to remember that cats can also suffer from overheating and heatstroke. While they often seek out cool places to rest, they still need a little extra help to stay safe during hot weather.

Here are a few ways to help your feline friend beat the heat:
💧 Make sure they always have access to fresh, cool water.
🏡 Keep your home well-ventilated and provide cool, shaded places to rest.
🧊 Try cooling mats or wrap an ice pack in a towel for them to lie near (never directly on).
🐾 Encourage activity during the cooler parts of the day and let them rest when it’s hot.
🚗 Never leave your cat in a parked car or enclosed space.

Signs of heatstroke in cats include:
• Excessive panting (cats rarely pant, so this is a warning sign)
• Lethargy or weakness
• Drooling
• Vomiting
• Bright red gums or tongue
• Difficulty breathing
• Collapse

If you think your cat is suffering from heatstroke, move them to a cool area, gently cool them with cool (not ice-cold) water, and contact your vet immediately.

We’d love to see how your cats are staying cool—share your photos in the comments! 🖤❄️
