Hello Friends
It feels a bit strange writing this after such a long gap, but as Vinnie’s book has come together, it’s made me realise there was one loose end we never really tied up.
PAAW House ended naturally a couple of years ago. It didn't have a big announcement or dramatic moment; it simply reached a point where it felt complete. Others have continued the conversation about pet-friendly housing brilliantly, and it felt right to step back and support that effort as Vinnie was getting older, and our world naturally became more local.
Of course, we didn’t stop caring or supporting the charities we believe in. However, maintaining PAAW House came with ongoing costs, and it eventually became clear that the money would be better utilised if directed straight to where it could do the most good.
PAAW House is part of Vinnie’s story, so it appears in Vinnie’s Tail because it mattered and shaped a chapter of our lives, but it also reflects the reality that some things don’t fail or fade away… they simply end when their job is done.
If you’ve been here from the beginning, thank you for being part of that chapter.
