Amazing news for our girl Nellie
🎉🎉NELLIE HAS GONE HOME🎉🎉
Nellie, a gentle Great Dane, is one of the most extraordinary survivors of this tragedy. Today, she is full of life—a happy, loving dog who greets the world with excitement, bursts of zoomies, and an unmistakable love for treats and cuddles. Yet the dog she is now is almost unrecognisable from the one who first arrived.
When Nellie was rescued, she was a shell of her former self. She would sit quietly in the corner of her kennel, facing the wall as though she wanted to disappear. She flinched from human touch, too frightened to accept even the softest kindness. Every movement and every sound seemed to fill her with fear. It was painfully clear she had suffered more than any animal ever should.
Despite everything she has endured, Nellie’s loving nature was never lost. It was simply waiting for the right people to help bring it back to life. Her journey is a powerful reminder of why rescue work matters. To witness a transformation like Nellie’s from a broken, frightened animal to one full of joy and life is something words can barely capture. It is what drives every early morning, every difficult case, every moment of heartbreak. Because sometimes, against all odds, healing is possible.
After being here for a shocking 344 days, we are pleased to announce Nellie has found her forever home and everyone at Danaher is beyond thrilled for her🥰🥰
