🐾💕 CLEO & CUDDLES ARE LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME 💕🐾

Meet Cleo and Cuddles, two absolutely beautiful, elegant little ladies around 2 years old, who are now ready to find the loving forever home they deserve. 🏡❤️

These girls have been through such a huge change in their lives. They came into RRATS Cats Rescue alongside 16 other cats after their owner sadly passed away. When they arrived, they were underweight, timid and unsure of what their future held.

But with good food, patience, love and lots of TLC, these gorgeous girls have truly started to blossom. 🥹❤️

🌸 CLEO (half black half white face) is the confident one of the pair. She is outgoing, affectionate and settled into her foster home as though she’d lived there her whole life! 😂 She loves attention, affection and, of course, a good cuddle.

🌷 CUDDLES (black moustache and beard) is a gentler, shyer little soul who needs someone willing to give her time to feel safe. In her foster home, it took around two weeks before she felt confident enough to properly relax and wander around as normal.

But once Cuddles knows and trusts you, her name says it all. ❤️ She is every bit as loving and cuddly as Cleo — she simply needs a little more patience before showing you that side of herself.

🏡 THEIR IDEAL HOME

Cleo and Cuddles would prefer a calm, quieter home without young children running around, particularly for Cuddles.

Their current foster does have twin toddlers, so we know they can adapt to family life, but Cuddles especially is much happier in a peaceful environment where she can settle at her own pace.

🐶 They cannot be rehomed with dogs.

🐾 Will be vaccinated before leaving for their forever home

After losing the only home they knew and finding themselves suddenly in rescue, these girls deserve stability, security and someone to love them for the rest of their lives.

🐝💛 SWEET HONEY’S BABIES HAVE ARRIVED 💛🐝

Today, our beautiful Honey gave birth to FIVE precious little babies. 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱

After such a whirlwind of a past, one thing is certain — this will be Honey’s last ever litter. From now on, she gets to simply be Honey. ❤️

Honey came from the same home as Chance and Destiny, and we believe this is her second or possibly even third litter in just 18 months.

When Chance and Destiny came into our care, we also wanted to take Honey. Sadly, we were refused because she had kittens at the time — and those kittens meant money.

Honey had two babies. One was sold, but when they couldn’t sell the second, we were asked to take that kitten too. The other kitten was later rehomed, and Honey herself was passed on to somebody else.

Then, just a few weeks later, we were contacted again.

They no longer wanted Honey… because she was pregnant.

And she wasn’t just a little pregnant — she was already heavily pregnant. 💔

So Honey came to us, and today she safely brought FIVE more tiny lives into the world. 🥹❤️

For now, our only focus is giving Honey the peace, security and care she deserves while giving these five beautiful babies the very best chance to grow and thrive in foster.

No more litters.
No more being passed from home to home.
No more being valued for the kittens she can produce.

Once her babies are old enough, Honey will be spayed, and this chapter of her life will finally be over.

Today, she is warm, safe and surrounded by her five tiny babies — and we’re hopeful that all five will continue to thrive. 🐾💕

🐾💕 MEET TILLY & TEGAN — READY FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME! 💕🐾

Just look at these beautiful girls! 😍

Tilly & Tegan are 6 months old and are the sweetest little Velcro kitties you could wish for. 🥹💗 They absolutely adore their people and will happily follow you around the house, always ready for cuddles, snuggles and plenty of love.

They love curling up beside you on the sofa for a cuddle… but when it’s playtime, they’re just as excited to get involved and have some fun! 🐱🧶

💕 TILLY 1ST PHOTO & TEGAN 2ND PHOTO ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST STAY TOGETHER 💕

These girls are a package deal. There will be absolutely no separating them. They love each other, belong together, and we are looking for one very special forever home where they can continue their lives side by side. 🐾🐾❤️

They would prefer a home without dogs, although we would consider a very calm, cat-savvy dog who will respect their space and won’t approach or chase them.

Tilly and Tegan really are the perfect combination of affectionate little cuddle bugs and playful young kitties. They have so much love to give — both to their humans and to each other. 💗

🚨💔 RONNIE UPDATE — THE MORE WE LEARN, THE MORE WE REALISE HOW MUCH THIS LITTLE GIRL NEEDED HELP 💔🚨

Yesterday we introduced you to Ronnie. A tiny, painfully thin little girl who had reportedly spent six years without ever seeing a vet. She arrived with us crawling with fleas, suffering horrendous diarrhoea, with a bloated tummy and two badly broken canine teeth making something as simple as eating painful.

Today we know a little more about what Ronnie’s poor body has been dealing with… and somehow, this little girl still has nothing but love to give. 💔

Because of the severity of Ronnie’s diarrhoea, we tested her for Giardia ourselves before her veterinary appointment. We keep Giardia tests on hand at the rescue for situations exactly like this, and Ronnie tested POSITIVE.

She has now started a five-day course of Panacur, alongside probiotics to support her poor tummy and give her body a chance to begin recovering.

Ronnie has also now been seen by the vet, and sadly the appointment brought even more concerns.

She weighs just 2.7kg and is extremely underweight and malnourished. Blood tests have shown that her white blood cells are elevated.

But amongst all the worry, we finally got one piece of good news… ❤️

Ronnie has tested NEGATIVE for both FIV and FeLV. 🙏❤️

We’ll take every little win we can get for this girl.

During her examination, the vet also noticed something concerning about Ronnie’s back legs. 💔 Instead of standing normally on her back feet as a cat usually would, Ronnie drops down and stands on much more of her lower back legs.

Right now, we don’t know why. We don’t know whether this is related to her malnutrition and weakness or something completely separate, and we don’t want to speculate. For now, it is something we will be closely monitoring and may need to investigate further as she becomes stronger.

And then there are those poor teeth.

Both of Ronnie’s broken canine teeth need to be removed, but at just 2.7kg and in her current condition, she simply isn’t stable enough for surgery yet.

So first, we have to build her back up. ❤️

And perhaps one of the most emotional parts of all of this has been watching Ronnie discover the simple joy of having a full tummy.

We have FINALLY found a food she can comfortably eat. After watching her desperately trying over and over to pick up food she simply couldn’t bite or chew because her mouth hurt too much, seeing her actually eat comfortably is something we can’t put into words.

She absolutely LOVES having a full tummy. 😭❤️

And that shouldn’t feel like such a huge thing.

Being able to eat without pain shouldn’t be a luxury. Having a full tummy shouldn’t be something worth celebrating. Getting medication when you’re poorly and seeing a vet when something is wrong should simply be normal.

For Ronnie, it wasn’t.

She needed testing. She needed medication. She needed nutritious food. She needed veterinary care. She needed somebody to investigate WHY she was so poorly.

And now, finally, she has that. ❤️

If Ronnie is still suffering with diarrhoea by Sunday, the vet has given us a faecal testing kit so further testing can be carried out to see whether anything else is contributing to her gastrointestinal problems.

For now, we treat the Giardia, support her tummy, get good food into her, monitor those back legs and get some desperately needed weight onto that tiny 2.7kg body. Then, when she is strong enough, we can finally get those painful broken teeth removed.

One problem at a time. One meal at a time. One day at a time. ❤️

We cannot change the last six years of Ronnie’s life. But we can make absolutely sure that what happens from here is different.

I have attached an invoice from today and the estimate for her future care going forward. Today’s treatment come to £351.47 and her future care will cost a further £787.73. We are setting a target for £800 to cover all costs for Ronnie.

🚨💔 PLEASE DON’T SCROLL PAST RONNIE. SHE HAS ALREADY BEEN FAILED ENOUGH. 💔🚨

We desperately need your help to pay for Ronnie’s veterinary care. Last night this beautiful, affectionate girl came through our doors underweight, dehydrated, crawling alive with fleas, passing dark green liquid diarrhoea, with a bloated stomach and broken, painful teeth that make eating difficult. And perhaps the most heartbreaking part? Ronnie had reportedly lived with the same people for SIX YEARS — yet we were told she had never once been taken to a vet. When they no longer wanted her, we were told they were considering ways of ending her life. Ronnie didn’t need to die. She needed someone to care. 💔

One of our volunteers heard what was happening and contacted us. We were already stretched, but how could we possibly say no? We made space. We took her. And when Ronnie arrived, the reality of what this little girl had been living with broke our hearts.

She was literally crawling with fleas. Two flea baths and a Capstar treatment later, and live fleas were STILL running across her body. Her coat was thick with flea dirt, grime and filth. Her paws were filthy. Her tummy is bloated, she has horrendous diarrhoea and we are extremely concerned about parasites and what may be happening internally.

And then we looked inside her mouth. 💔

Both canine teeth are badly broken. One is almost completely gone, leaving essentially the root and a tiny amount of tooth behind. Her mouth hurts so much that even eating is difficult for her.

Yet do you know what Ronnie does?

She loves us. 😭

After everything, she still comes for affection. She still trusts people. She is gentle with adults and children. She doesn’t understand why she was unwanted. She doesn’t understand why nobody got her the help she needed.

She just wants to be loved.

We were told Ronnie had been self-diagnosed with “IBS” and was on prescription food. But the food handed to us was collected on 25 August — the DAY BEFORE she entered our care on 26 August. On top of this, the food that was passed over with Ronnie she’s simply unable to eat! Ronnie is trying over and over grabbing each kibble with desperation and hope that her tummy will be full however she’s unable to chew or bite onto it due to extreme pain! Whatever is causing Ronnie’s severe diarrhoea, she now needs proper veterinary investigation, not guesses.

🚨 This morning we are calling our vets for an URGENT appointment. Ronnie may need blood tests, faecal testing/cultures, parasite and Giardia treatment, treatment for dehydration, medication and extensive dental work. We don’t yet know how much this will cost because we don’t yet know how much damage has been done.

But we promised Ronnie something last night:

Ronnie cannot tell us how long her mouth has hurt. She cannot tell us how long her tummy has been bad or how long she has been itching from fleas.

But her body tells enough of the story.

Last night, Ronnie was the cat somebody no longer wanted.

Today, she is our Ronnie. ❤️

🚨💔 GIZMO NEEDED AN URGENT VET VISIT TODAY 💔🚨

Poor little Gizmo has given us quite a scare today. 😢

He developed quite severe diarrhoea, with blood present, and had also been severely vomiting several times. With symptoms like these, we simply couldn’t take any chances, so Gizmo was taken to the vets to be checked over.

He was seen by vet Jo, who found that Gizmo was quite dehydrated. 💔 completely expected with the sickness and diarrhoea.

Thankfully, he was able to receive anti-sickness medication and fluids to help rehydrate him and make him more comfortable. He has now been allowed home and is safely back with his wonderful foster, where he will be closely monitored to see how he responds and how he does over the coming hours and days. He will also be given probiotics each day for the next few days. 🐾❤️

This is the side of rescue that people don’t always see.

One minute everything can seem okay, and the next we’re rushing one of our cats to the vets. When an animal in our care needs help, we will always get them the veterinary treatment they need — but every unexpected appointment adds to our rescue bills.

🚨 PLEASE HELP SOOTY — HE IS VERY UNWELL 🚨

Poor Sooty desperately needs our help. 💔

Sooty has become seriously unwell and has been vomiting blood, so he has been seen by the vets and had blood tests carried out. His results showed elevated white blood cells, and the vets are now investigating what is making him so poorly.

He is being tested for FIV and FeLV, and in the meantime he needs further treatment, including:

🐾 A second course of worming treatment
💉 Antibiotics
💉 Anti-sickness injections
🩸 FIV & FeLV testing
🏥 Continued veterinary care and monitoring

We don’t yet know what is causing Sooty to be so unwell, and we’re desperately hoping that his tests will give us some answers. FIV/FeLV testing is one of the investigations vets may use when a sick or at-risk cat needs further assessment. 

His veterinary bill is already mounting, and as RRATS Cats Rescue is a small foster-based non-profit CIC, every unexpected veterinary emergency puts enormous pressure on our funds.

💔 £2,235.32 IN VET BILLS — IN JUST TWO WEEKS! 💔

We wanted to share our invoices from the last two weeks so you can see exactly where your kind donations — and our rescue funds — are going.

In just 14 days, RRATS Cats Rescue has spent an incredible £2,235.32 on veterinary care. 🐾❤️

And it doesn’t stop there…
