As a mobile vet, we’re all about keeping pets healthy from their own homes. If a patient prefers to sit in the shower tray, that’s where we’ll go! 😻 Here’s Dave, chilling in his spot in the shower tray. No need to move to have his blood pressure checked. Relaxed patient = accurate results.

Vaccinations are an important way to prevent certain diseases in pets. Sadly most of these diseases are dangerous, and can be fatal, which is why prevention is better than cure. For dogs, we have effective vaccinations to protect against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough (KC may be optional if your dog doesn’t mix much with other dogs). For cats; Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleucopenia and Feline Leukaemia Virus (the latter is normally for outdoor cats only)

Sometimes our pets need a helping hand with their grooming. This lovely boy needed just that, but wasn’t keen on clippers, despite his owners best efforts. So we went to his house where the vet clipped off lots of fur whilst he was having a peaceful snooze (under sedation!) it’s amazing how much hair needs to come off - the pile in the photo is just from his face and neck! 🐾🐾 There’s so much we can do at home especially for nervous patients or those that hate going to the vets!

Something we do a lot of during appointments is nail clipping! Sometimes nails grow too long, particularly in older, less active or indoor cats, and need to be clipped. Long nails can cause pain and discomfort, especially if they become ingrown. If your cat’s nails are getting stuck in things, like the sofa or your clothing, it’s probably time to give them a trim. We can easily do this at home so please give us a shout if you need any help! 🐈🐈‍⬛😺
