Erm TEDDY!!! 😍😍🥳🥳🏆

I have no words, Ted lead his BE90 section from start to finish with a beautiful 29.8 DOUBLE CLEAR 🥹 at Osberton.

Gah I knew he had it in him but I didn’t expect it to come today at his first big atmosphere event!

More to come but for now enjoy this stunning footage from Sam Lategan (Eventing Earl on Instagram) 😮‍💨📸

Teddy was bred from our mare, Diamond - owned by Sandra Betney who is now with Saxelbye Manor Stud. It’s been an incredible journey getting this beautiful boy going over the last two years but also everything that came before that from riding Diamond to her becoming a brood mare to now having Teddy and other stunning babies on the ground 🥲💎 Teddy is co-owned by myself and Sandra - without her support I couldn’t have done so many things over the last 20 years 🤍

And we couldn’t have managed this weekend without the mega Eco Voltz bikes 💙

What a dude 🤩

I’m over the moon that Donutty is finally getting the results he so deserves, producing a beautiful 28.5 double clear to finish 3rd in the ROR BE100 Championships ♥️

To stand on the podium behind two professionals I have huge respect for was a real pinch me moment, and I think I was probably most proud of the clear showjumping. The hard work and patience, is finally starting to pay off 🥳

As many of you already know, Donut has been fed on Red Mills for a long time and has been looking and feeling incredible on it. What I hadn’t shared yet is that I’m now officially sponsored by them too, which makes today’s result and podium finish feel even more special 🥰

So lovely to catch up with everyone today and we’re looking forward to heading back there again tomorrow 🙌🏻

Chipping away at our SJ skills with another 2 solid rounds at BS 110 today 💪🏻🥳

At the start of April we jumped our first Newcomers and had 3 down plus a very uncharacteristic stop. Last weekend we had 4 down… and today we had the chance to jump two 110 classes at Arena - the National Amateur 110 and the Newcomers, where we finished on 3 down and then a much more convincing 2 down that we barely touched ✨

It’s not perfect, but that feels like a whole lot of progress to me 🫶🏼

Doney is such a legend. He really rewards accurate riding and I’m still learning how to maintain that balance and quality all the way around a full track. One fence is easy… unfortunately there are usually 14 of them to leave up 😅

I really do believe there’s a clear round in there somewhere, and the more consistent and accurate I can become, the more chance we give ourselves of finishing on our dressage score 🤞🏻✨

Slowly but surely building the pieces together 💪🏻

Thank you for filming!

Yard days 🤝 Ecovoltz
Training days 🤝 Ecovoltz
Event days… obviously 🤝 Ecovoltz!!

We’ve been using these bikes since 2022 and I really couldn’t imagine day to day life let alone eventing without them now 🧡⚡️

I’m so excited to be sponsored by 🥳

Thank you to everyone who has supported us to get here, it’s a very surreal moment to be partnering with a brand we have used and loved for such a long time and I couldn’t be doing this without you 🥰

Postcards from Badminton 💌

As the course is released for this year’s Grassroots Championships, I’ve found myself reminiscing on our trip there last year.

It would be so easy to focus on how it ended… going from a potential top 10 finish to quite literally eating dirt in front of a sizeable audience 🙈 however, that would miss the point completely.

Because what about everything else?

✨ The feeling of flying
✨ My incredible Miss Maggie trying her heart out in the dressage
✨ The applause after a clear showjumping round
✨ That unbeatable feeling leaving the start box, flying over the first four fences like we were invincible

And more than that, the moments in between.
Working through the things that didn’t go to plan.
Digging deep, together.
The cuddles afterwards, just grateful to come home in one piece.

And everything it took to get there in the first place.
This mare of mine, who nearly lost her life not so many years ago, still right there by my side ❤️

For me, the positives far outweighed the negatives then… and they still do now.

So if you’re heading to Badminton this year, whether you’re riding, supporting, or soaking it all in from the sidelines, remember this:

We do it because we love our horses.
Because of that incredible partnership, a bond of trust between two species who don’t even speak the same language.

Whatever the result…
Go and enjoy it.
Make the memories.
And please, come home smiling 🧡

I’d like to confirm the spa package is, in fact, for the horses… not me 🥒🧖🏼‍♀️

But jokes aside, steaming hay really is the gold standard when it comes to respiratory health and overall wellbeing 👇

✅ Gold standard forage for your horse
✅ Supports respiratory health by eliminating dust, mould & spores
✅ Increases moisture content for better hydration
✅ More palatable = less waste, happier horses
✅ Consistent quality all year round

And as an added bonus…
✅ Yard spa facilities
✅ Emergency cat bed warmer
✅ Daily steam facial (apparently compulsory)

AD | Haygain keeping my horses happy and healthy and my daily skincare vibrant 😆💚

What a delight it is producing this special boy 🥰

Another brilliant educational run for Teddy at Oasby today! We made so many improvements from last week, including probably his best dressage test to date. There were still a few green, spooky moments - particularly at a very suspicious patch of limestone in the arena (filling a hole I presume… highly questionable!! 🙈).

Showjumping was super, especially with more going on around the edge, he’s really starting to come into his own in this phase 😎

Cross country was a real win to in terms of growth and fact finding, we cracked the warmup, genuinely 500% better than last week and he jumped the first fence despite also thinking it was quite suspicious 😅
The course was a bit more dressed this week with flags etc which meant he went a tad green on me for the first half of the course and on reflection I am thinking I could have ridden him slightly differently which I will test out at the next event! He then grew in confidence and finished the track absolutely flying along which is absolutely fantastic. 🤩

To top it all off, he was the calmest, happiest boy at the lorry, really starting to settle into the event atmosphere such a huge step for his education.

Onwards and upwards 🧸💪🏻

Donut being the coolest dude this evening! 🤩

Also, spot 👀 🧸

We nipped to Barrowcliffe with the one and only great Simondo for a super tuneup with Teddy ahead of his first BE of the year on Saturday 🤞🏻♥️ and to start pushing my comfort zone on Mr Nutty ahead of starting to consider the prospect or larger tracks one day… 💭🤓

The boys were excellent - both for me to jump and as teacher horses for Simon 😎

Sadly no vlog as we didn’t get much video footage as I tend to jump long courses which are too far from the camera when we school like this, I shall persevere in trying to get a good pov camera then you could see more from that angle instead 💪🏻 but first I’m still on my mission to buy a ride on lawn mower so I can do my master plan for schooling at home 🤣
