We are incredibly grateful to the students from IU Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, Indianapolis for creating this excellent video about our Community Cat Project, funded by Battersea, on the Greek islands of Paros and Antiparos.

Working alongside Cats of Antiparos, Paroscat, PAWS - Paros Animal Welfare Society, Κτηνιατρείο ΦΕΠ, Φιλοζωοι Εθελοντες Παρου, Veterinary Center of PAROS, Κτηνιατρική Γωνιά - Veterinary Corner, with the support of Δήμος Αντιπάρου / Municipality of Antiparos, Municipality of Paros and the many caregivers, volunteers and residents who supported the project, we are amazed by what has been achieved.

This project has made such a difference to the lives of community cats across Paros and Antiparos, and we are incredibly proud of everything that has been accomplished together. Thank you to everyone who has played a part.

Animal Action Greece is looking for new Trustees, including a Treasurer, to help strengthen our Board and support the next stage of our development.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in governance, education, fundraising or the UK charity sector, as well as those with a strong understanding of the Greek operating environment.

Our Equine Care team travelled across 23 villages in Andros, treating working equines throughout the island, as well as rescued animals at the Andros Animal Shelter Greece. In total, the team provided vital veterinary, dental and farriery care to 73 horses, donkeys and mules.

We are incredibly grateful to local organisers Julia Joyce and Petros Vassiliadis, the Δήμος Άνδρου - Municipality of Andros Island, Fast Ferries, Golden Star Ferries, Mr Moustakas and Paradise Design Apartments Hotel, Belitsa Restaurant Andros , Almi tavern , the Riding Club of Andros and Mrs Frantzeska Tzioti for helping make this outreach possible.

Η oμάδα Φροντίδας Ιπποειδών ταξίδεψε σε 23 χωριά της Άνδρου, παρέχοντας φροντίδα σε ιπποειδή εργασίας σε όλο το νησί, καθώς και σε διασωθέντα ζώα στο καταφύγιο Magic Mountain. Συνολικά, η ομάδα προσέφερε την απαραίτητη κτηνιατρική, οδοντιατρική και πεταλωτική φροντίδα σε 73 ιπποειδή - άλογα, γαϊδούρια και μουλάρια.

Είμαστε ιδιαίτερα ευγνώμονες στους τοπικούς διοργανωτές Julia Joyce και Πέτρο Βασιλειάδη, στον Δήμο Άνδρου, τις εταιρείες Fast Ferries και Golden Star Ferries, τον κ. After a four-year wait, our Equine Care Programme returned to Naxos to provide much-needed veterinary, farriery and dental care to the island’s working equines.

In just one and a half days, our team examined and treated 25 horses, donkeys and mules. From trimming severely overgrown hooves to treating injuries and addressing painful dental problems, the visit provided vital care that is not otherwise readily available on the island.

Μετά από τέσσερα χρόνια απουσίας, το Πρόγραμμα Φροντίδας Ιπποειδών επέστρεψε στη Νάξο, προσφέροντας πολύτιμη κτηνιατρική, πεταλωτική και οδοντιατρική φροντίδα στα ιπποειδή εργασίας του νησιού.

Μέσα σε μόλις μιάμιση ημέρα, η ομάδα μας εξέτασε και φρόντισε 25 άλογα, γαϊδούρια και μουλάρια. Από την περιποίηση οπλών που είχαν μεγαλώσει υπερβολικά, μέχρι την αντιμετώπιση τραυματισμών και επώδυνων οδοντικών προβλημάτων, η επίσκεψη προσέφερε στα ζώα απαραίτητη φροντίδα, η οποία δεν είναι εύκολα διαθέσιμη στο νησί.

Thanks to our amazing supporters who donated to our emergency wildfire appeal, we have:

🦅Funded emergency wildlife rescue and veterinary care through ΑΝΙΜΑ - Σύλλογος Προστασίας και Περίθαλψης Άγριας Ζωής.

🐶 Donated essential parasite treatments to Dogs' Voice and Αδέσποτες Ψυχές- Φιλοζωικό Σωματείο Μάνδρας.

🐈 Supplied food, water and other essentials to Cats Eden in Paros-La banda di Casa Elea following its emergency evacuation.

🐾 Provided 20 large crates to Ζωοφιλική Ένωση Μεγάρων - Animal Welfare Association of Megara for animals rescued from the fires.

Unfortunately, wildfires are still on-going across Greece and we remain in contact with organisations across to identify where further help is most needed.
