A belated Happy New Year from the Everyday Dogs team!
🐾

Spirit and I havent been able to get to the agility field lately BUT that shouldnt mean we cant practice!
We should ALWAYS make time to do what our dogs love and what makes them feel fulfilled- genetics matter here, too!

And throw in a good play session for good measure.

Dont just get to the park, unclip the lead and be glued to your phone...utilise whats around! Strengthen that bond💚
Spirit was command PERFECT here because she genuinely loves this kind of interaction!

The best time at

In the dog industry we are always learning and shaping our craft, and I'm so grateful to be able to attend these kinds of events.

Shout out to Raven and Mouse for being outstanding pack members during such a busy day!

We thoroughly enjoyed watching nail her demo with the beautiful Jaffa who is now sporting some bespoke wings🪽🐾

🌟Comfort🌟

I'm incredibly proud to share that the Everyday Dogs team is not only completely comfortable with all aspects of grooming but also excels as our welcoming committee in a busy salon.

Their regular grooming sessions mean the process is familiar, they know the routine perfectly, and nothing phases them. It's essential for me, as their owner, to ensure they're desensitized to grooming, especially since it's a vital part of their care as show dogs – a nightmare if they hated it!

Here's Raven looking a bit too relaxed on the table!

🌟DESENSITISATION🌟

Mouse has been joining 'the bigs' on several outings as of late to ensure she's as bomb proof as her cousins.

Not only is Mouse tagging along on buses, in stores and to the odd dog show, but we're also working on her focus in these places.

Yes, dogs should be desensitised to noises, different textures underfoot, handling and so on, but its also important to work on focus towards their handler in these places.

Our aim is to create an environmentally neutral dog who sees more value in their handler than other dogs, people and so on!

Well done, Mouse!
P.s- you may have to zoom in to spot the pup😂

🌟PUPPY INTROS🌟

Mouse is coming on LEAPS AND BOUNDS within the pack and is gaining confidence every day.

With little mouse being so...well...little...proper introductions to the rest of the pack were paramount.

We never opt to throw our puppies into the deep end with the rest of the dogs and let them fend for themselves. Instead, gradual introductions on a 1-2-1 basis was our plan of action.

Mouse interpreted incredibly quickly and struts her stuff with the big dogs all the time.

If you're thinking about adding another dog to the pack but dont know where to start, drop us a message!

🌟THE GIRL DID GOOD🌟

This weekend we attended the third annual Yakutian Laika Club UK show in Malvern, Worcestershire.

The show was held at the busy and beautiful Three Counties Showground which is one of my favourite venues!

Raven was a superstar- as usual.
True to her 'go anywhere, do anything' nature, she took the whole thing in her stride...even the heat!

We showed relatively early in the morning, kept the dogs in the shade and competed quickly and conscientiously.

Raven was awarded 2nd Open Bitch🥈and showed her socks off.
Despite being a relatively small class, Raven moved and behaved beautifully and I'm the real winner because I get to call her Mine.
She is a wonderful advocate for her breed and I adore showing her to the world.
Well done Raven!- who is having a well earned rest day.

Watch this space for more...👀

🌟INTRODUCTIONS🌟

We would like to formally introduce you to the latest member of the Everyday Dogs team!

This is 'Mouse', Chars sister in laws new 8 week old Chihuahua who brings our household total to 6! (Rookie numbers...👀)

Mouse is the smallest member of our pack but has already made herself comfortable and is showing her personality!

It's going to be an amazing change from the big dogs we're used to, and we can't wait to train her!

Keep your eyes peeled for tiny puppy content👀🐾
