🐾 Dotty came to visit our Peckham surgery today! 🐾

Dotty confidently walked through the door just as it was closing after another client and made herself right at home! 🐶 She headed straight to the back of the surgery for a leisurely little nosy around before returning to reception.

We love giving our patients the opportunity to have a little tour of the practice and explore at their own pace. And Dotty’s feedback was, of course, very positive — especially after a few tasty treats! 🦴😋

Dotty was also here for her recheck and repeat medication. After her consultation, she seemed rather keen to stay and spend some more time with our team… 🥰

A happy pet speaks volumes! ❤️🐾

It’s always lovely to see our patients feeling comfortable, confident and happy when they visit us at Peckham Vets. 🏡🐾 #🏡🐾

🐈‍⬛ Marlo’s post-op check! 🐾

Marlo visited Peckham Vets for his post-operative check following his castration, and he’s doing brilliantly! 💙

Castration can have several benefits for male cats, including:
• 🏡 Reducing roaming and the urge to wander in search of a mate
• 🐾 Reducing urine spraying and other mating-related behaviours
• 😺 Preventing unwanted litters
• 🩺 Eliminating the risk of testicular cancer and reducing some reproductive health risks
• ❤️ Helping reduce the number of unwanted cats and kittens

A big well done to Marlo for being such a good patient! 🐾✨

Sadly many strays are often brought into our surgery. When we find a microchip we can reunite pets with their owner, but unfortunately this isn’t always the case. We do our best to find a home for the lost cats however as a surgery we do not have the best resources to ensure strays are then happily rehomed . 🐾
Please remember to microchip your cat/dog (required by law) this way ensuring they will be surrounded by the love and attention they deserve 💕🙏

One of our clients showed us at Peckham surgery a picture of sweet Empanada, having a cozy nap after she had been spayed 3 days ago. At her post op check today she was found to be recovering well and back to running around in zoomies ! 😻

Tilly came to our surgery Peckham vets to have her leg examined, hopefully with some pain relief and love and care she will be feeling a lot better soon. 🫶🏻❤️🐶🌟

Veterinarians can detect musculoskeletal problems in pets through a structured physical and orthopedic examination. They usually combine what they see, what they feel during palpation, and how the animal moves. 🐕

Tula visited Peckham vets for a health check. Tula is adorable! Can you guess the breed? 🐾

Health checks are important in maintaining health in pets because they help detect illnesses and health problems early, before they become more serious.

Veterinary guidelines (such as those from the World Small Animal Veterinary Association) recommend administering a series of core shots every 3 to 4 weeks. This timing ensures that as maternal antibodies naturally fade, the kitten develops its own strong immunity, with yearly boosters up to date cats can have a very healthy long life.

post-spay check-up helps make sure your pup is healing well, her stitches are okay, and there are no signs of infection. 🐶💗 It’s a little check to make sure she’s back on track!
