Highlights of our days on the moors, the weather can change from sunny and calm to windy and torrential rain in seconds on the moors so we need to be prepared for it all, the Merlingundogs and Residentials don’t care about the weather!! They just want to GEDOOT!! 😀🐶❤️

No rest here at Merlingundogs HQ as we have some more residential’s in for my training, Hank aka Hank the tank is with us for 3 weeks residential training, he is a pet rescue cocker spaniel and we think he’s around 6 years old, he’s with us for heel work on and off lead and that all important recall!! He’s got quite a pray drive so let’s get control of that!! Go on the son GEDOOT!! 😀🐶❤️

Here is Finlay one of our residential’s! He’s full of enthusiasm and loves the dummy launcher Iv been working on his steadiness and heel work, he’s actually not a bad retriever and tends to place the dummy just in-front of me, he loves working on the moors and we have another day planned before he heads home this weekend. I’m pleased with his progress!! 😀🐶❤️

Here is Maggie! One of our residential’s, on this video I’m showing some very basic techniques of how Iv managed to get Maggie’s focus on me more and get her brain working, she has had nearly two weeks of this as well as been on the moors working with the Merlingundogs pack, she will be due to have another day on the moors before she goes home! She a lovely girl and I’m pleased with her progress, when her owners come and pick her up I’ll go through training with them so that she transfers and keeps focus on them! 😀🐶❤️

Woody update from his two weeks residential training, Woody is what I’d call a handful so Iv been really concentrating on his steadiness!! Heel work recall with distractions and retrieving, He’s been out several times on shoots on the moors, he’s really keen and due another shoot day before he goes home, although he is a full on adrenaline based cocker I like his enthusiasm!! I’m pleased with his progress 😀🐶❤️
