Piddle... don’t nibble! 🌱💁‍♀️

If your puppy trying to snack on their Piddle Patch (like little Daph when hers first arrived), don’t panic 😱

Puppies explore the world with their mouths, and grass is obviously pretty interesting to them, so a few enthusiastic nibbles aren’t unusual.

The trick is to help them learn the difference between a piddle and a nibble:

🐾 If they’re more interested in eating than toileting, take them away for a few minutes and play or let them burn off some energy.
🐾 Try again when they’re calm and likely to need the toilet - after waking, eating, drinking or playing can be good times.
🐾 Keep them on a lead initially so you can gently redirect them if they go in for a snack.
🐾 Choose a simple cue like ‘go p*e’ or ‘potty time’ and use it consistently.
🐾 And when they do use their Piddle Patch? Throw out lots of praise and treats! 🎉

You will need to be patient, but soon enough they’ll know the grass is for p*es and poops, not puppy snacks. 😂

Did you know puppies don’t automatically know where they’re supposed to go potty? 🐶

To them, the rug, the grass and that suspiciously convenient corner of the kitchen can all seem equally valid. And who can blame them? Tiny bladder... big learning curve!

That’s why consistency is key when toilet training. Taking your pup to the same spot and using the same cue helps them start making the connection, and that's where the magic happens 😎🌱💩

Has your Piddle Patch arrived looking a little... wonky? 🙃

Don’t panic! Occasionally, boxes can get a little squished or end up on their side during delivery, but thankfully, our grass is much tougher than it looks.

Piddle Patch contains a natural amount of water to keep the grass fresh, healthy and strong while it makes its way to you. That’s why we ask couriers to keep the box flat wherever possible, helping to prevent any water from escaping and damaging the packaging.

And even if your box does arrive looking a little worse for wear, the grass inside is very rarely affected. 🌱

Once your Piddle Patch arrives, simply take it out of the box and pop it into a suitable tray ready for use.

To us, a patch of grass is just grass, right? To your dog, it’s a whole world of information. Their incredible sense of smell helps them understand their surroundings, recognise familiar places and, importantly, figure out where they should (and shouldn’t) go to the toilet 👀
