💔 A heartbreaking reminder for all puppy owners 🐾

Today, a friend sadly lost her beautiful 9-week-old puppy to parvovirus (parvo). This is absolutely devastating, and it highlights just how serious and dangerous this virus can be for young puppies.

Parvo is highly contagious and can spread incredibly easily through contaminated environments, faeces, footwear, hands and surfaces. Young puppies are particularly vulnerable while they are still completing their vaccination course.

Because the health and safety of every puppy attending Barty Barks Dog Training is my priority, I am now asking ALL puppies attending puppy classes to provide proof of their vaccinations before attending class. 📋🐶

Please send me a clear photo of your puppy’s vaccination card before coming along to class. No puppy will be able to attend until their vaccination status has been checked and confirmed.

I appreciate your understanding. I know it’s an extra step, but I’d much rather be cautious than risk putting another puppy in danger. ❤️

If your puppy is unwell, particularly with vomiting, diarrhoea (especially bloody diarrhoea), extreme tiredness, weakness or loss of appetite, please contact your vet immediately and keep them away from other dogs.

🐾 Please share this post to help spread awareness.
Our puppies’ health and safety will always come first. ❤️
