Happy National Dog Day (also known as International Dog Day)! 😃🐶

Celebrated each year on the 26th August, National Dog Day was founded in 2004 by animal welfare advocate Colleen Paige 🎉

She chose the date because it marked the day her family adopted their first rescue dog when she was a child 🗓️

The day celebrates dogs of every breed, age and background, while promoting adoption, raising awareness of animal welfare, and recognising the incredible role dogs play in our lives 🥰

It’s the perfect excuse to spoil your fur baby with an extra cuddle, a favourite treat or, of course, an extra walk 🦴🚶🏼‍♀️

If you’d like to support the day even further, you could:

🐕 Consider adopting a rescue dog

💚 Support an animal charity or assistance dog organisation with a donation or by taking part in a fundraising event

🍃 Join a local dog walk, visit a dog-friendly cafe or pub, or see what’s happening in your local community to celebrate our canine companions

We’re lucky to spend our days with some of the best dogs around 🍀, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful clients for trusting us with your fur babies! 🙏

A tired dog is a happy dog! 🐶💤

After plenty of sniffing, exploring, and exercise, it’s time for a well-earned snooze on the sofa 🛋️

Regular walks keep dogs healthy, exercised, mentally stimulated, and content - and there’s nothing better than seeing them relax after a great adventure 😊
