Are you worried about your pup during the UK heatwaves? ☀️🐶

Over the years, we’ve survived quite a few of them, so we’ve built a plan to help keep our Littlest Paws safe, cool, and comfortable when the temperatures become dangerous.

Here are a few things we introduce that you can do too:

☀️ This week saw the return of our paddling pools in the shaded garden, and our little water babies absolutely loved them.

☀️ Cooling mats were rolled out for our indoor loungers, and some pups even arrived rocking their cooling scarves in style.

☀️ Our team are trained and prepared to act quickly in any emergency situation, thanks to Canine First Aid training from (check out Aubrey’s latest post on the early signs of heatstroke).

☀️ Walks are EARLY. Getting out before the midday heat is so important. Imagine going for a walk in this weather wearing a thick furry onesie… nope. 🥵

☀️ For some pups, we swap longer walks for short, shaded woodland strolls, armed with enough water to flood a small village. 💧

A little extra planning during a heatwave can make a huge difference to your dog’s safety and comfort. Stay cool out there 😎
