Meet Fergus 🐾

Fergus is a recently adopted rescue dog who came to us for support with dog reactivity and resource guarding.

Like many rescue dogs, Fergus arrived with a history that required patience, understanding, and a carefully structured training plan. Together with his forever family, we've been working through each challenge step by step, building confidence, trust, and new skills along the way.

This clip shows Fergus during his 5th session, but it's important to remember that progress like this doesn't happen overnight. While both dogs are off lead here, this is not where we started.

Reaching this stage has involved considerable work around other dogs, gradual exposure, careful assessment, and ensuring that every step forward was taken at the right time and in a safe, controlled manner.

Training is a journey, and Fergus and his family are still very much on that journey—but we're incredibly proud of how far they've come so far. ❤️

If you're struggling with reactivity, resource guarding, recall, loose lead walking, or any other training challenges, we're here to help.

📱 Send us a WhatsApp on 07703 973656 to find out how we can support you and your dog.

Thank you to The Woodbridge Vets for allowing me to pop down yesterday an hour and a half after they had closed to scan a stray dog i had found.
One of my local vets was shut and the other local vets wouldn't scan him due to the time it would be when I got there, being the time that they should be shutting.

I am so glad and thankful to our vets and the team.
You can't beat having a decent vetinary practice that is all about the animals

Did you know that today is National Dog Mum day?!

Happy dog mum day to all you dog mums!

The girls spent a fair bit of time in the garden today sunning themselves and this evening we went for a lovely walk when it was cooler.

How have you and your dogs spent the day?

Got extra from your Sunday roast? Here’s a simple way your dog can enjoy a little Sunday roast of their own too.

This Savoury Chicken Kong is a great way to use up dog-safe leftovers while also giving your dog something tasty, enriching, and mentally engaging to work on.

Stuffed Kongs can be brilliant for encouraging calmness, reducing boredom, and helping dogs learn to settle, all while enjoying a yummy treat.
For this one, simply use:

🍗 Plain cooked chicken
🥕 Chopped carrots
🫛 Peas

Mix together, stuff into the Kong, and for an extra challenge or to make it last longer, pop it in the freezer.

A simple enrichment idea, a tasty use for leftovers, and a lovely way to include your dog in Sunday roast day.

💬 Does your dog love a savoury Kong filling? Let me know below.

I have booked myself on and will be atgending The Ipswich Dog Trainer Dog Law Seminar with dogs law specialist Trevor Cooper.

With owning a dog or for me, working with a dog, its so important that we know where we stand within the law.

This seminar will cover dog ownership and all the pitfalls that you may accidentally be falling into without even knowing it.

Learn where you stand in the eyes of the law with your dog. There will be time for a q&a too so if you have a specific question, you can ask the expert.

This popular seminar is a wide-ranging mix of legal issues that are important to dog owners, including responsibilities when buying and selling dogs, liability (both civil and criminal) for dogs that harm people and animals and much more. Scroll down for a full list of the likely topics that will be...
