First visit this morning to Maisy & Heidi. I was told they'd be a tough crowd as theyre a rescue bonded pair who haven't had the best start in life.

Quite pleased with the first visit with one more visit later today and a longer booking in a few weeks time.

A lovely review by the owner of Nova. I shared a few posts last week of the progress we've made after a good long time of patience and building trust.

A good, honest review from a client who has used the service for 2yr is appreciated so much. You can't buy reputation so every single pet is treated as if it were one of my own - exactly how it should be.

I absolutely love all animals, especially cats, which is what gets me up at 5am most days for the visits before the full-time day job starts 🥰⭐️✨️

Okay - so I know Summer is technically still here but Im getting quite a few enquiries and bookings for Christmas & 2027 from new and existing clients. 🤯

So as not to be too booked up for any of my regulars, if you have dates in mind can you let me know dates so I can pencil you in & avoid disappointment.

I will be unavailable from 11/3/27 - 14/3/27 if that has any bearing on anyone's arrangements.

This must be the earliest Ive made a Christmas announcement and I don't think I can quite believe it!

Adding to this, cats also remember the pet sitters caring for them whilst their owners are away. Once cats have bonded to the pet sitter, it's much more reassuring for the cat to have that pet sitter care for them. Much like an extended family member.

I have plenty of regular clients and I see the change of how the cats were with me at the beginning & how much more chilled they are with me the more times I visit. 🥰🐈

Ever wondered whether your cat will forget you whilst you're on holiday?

Cat Behaviourist Daniel Warren-Cummings says that this is unlikely as cats have strong long-term memories, particularly with regard to people they associate with positive experiences, and recognise them through a combination of scent, voice and movement.

This may also explain why some cats seem distant upon their owner's return, as unfamiliar travel-related smells can temporarily mask their owner's usual scent. Once familiar scent cues return, most cats quickly settle back into their normal affectionate routines.

Of all the cats Ive had over the years there was Mog (my childhood cat) and now Harley who were/are the clever ones. Both small, female tabby cats. Great hunters, feisty, moody & incredibly clever.

Is it a coincidence or are female tabbies the clever ones?

Even though Nova has come round to me visiting twice a day she still wants for me to call her out from her 'safe space' behind the chair.

Most cats have a place they go when things are little bit unsettling such as when their hoomans are away of if there's changes, disruption, new people, etc. It's so important not to force a cat from their safe space so it continues to feel safe for them.
