💜🐾 FRIENDSHIPS ARE MADE AT FIN FEATHER & FUR 🐾💜

One of the most beautiful things about what we do is watching the friendships that form along the way. 🥹💜

What starts as a few hours of fun, zoomies and muddy paws soon becomes so much more. Best friends are found, little bonds grow, and some dogs become so excited to see their four-legged friends that they can barely contain themselves! 🐶🐾

And it’s not just the dogs who make friendships… their humans do too! 💜

At Fin Feather & Fur, we’re more than just a doggy daycare. We’re a little community filled with wagging tails, familiar faces, happy greetings and friendships that grow stronger every week.

Watching the dogs recognise each other, play together and build their own little friendships is one of the biggest rewards of what we do. 🐕💕

Because sometimes, the best friendships have four legs, a wagging tail and absolutely no idea what personal space means! 😂🐾

🐾🐶 WELCOME TO PUPPY PLAY SCHOOL, PANDA & ROLO! 🐶🐾

A big welcome to Panda and Rolo, who arrived full of confidence and ready to take on the world! 😂❤️

Dougie, who’s been coming for a few weeks, was VERY excited to show the newbies the ropes. 😎 “Follow me, guys, I know how everything works around here!”

Then it suddenly dawned on him… HE WAS NO LONGER THE YOUNGEST! 😱🤣

Cue a little concern and a serious need for reassurance from Heather and Becci that he’d still be treated exactly the same! 🥹😂 Had his VIP puppy status been revoked?!

Of course not, Dougie! You’re still special… although we may need to change your job title to Senior Puppy Consultant! 🤣👑

❤️🐾 Our Puppy Play School runs every Monday afternoon, helping our little ones socialise, build confidence, make friends and burn off some of that puppy energy!

🐱💩 HEATHER’S TOP 2 CAT LITTERS… because apparently this is what my life has become! 😂

We’ve tried A LOT of cat litters in this house… and I mean A LOT! 🤦‍♀️

Pellets, Catsan, flushable litter, clumping litter… you name it, we’ve probably put it in a tray and waited to see whether the cats approved! 😂🐈

After all that experimenting, I’ve narrowed it down to my TOP 2:

🥇 KatKin Scoop Planet
🥈 Ever Clean

And honestly, both are bloody good!

✔️ Both absorb urine really well
✔️ Both make scooping out the offending little presents pretty easy 😂
✔️ Both help reduce that dreaded litter trail that somehow ends up EVERYWHERE!

BUT… we have a winner! 🏆

For me, KatKin Scoop Planet takes the crown. 👑

The biggest difference I noticed was the smell. It genuinely seems to keep the litter tray smelling fresher, and I noticed significantly less litter being trailed around the house.

AND… this might sound completely ridiculous… but when you first open the bag, it actually smells sweet and fresh. 🤣

Never thought I’d be stood in my house sniffing bags of cat litter, but here we are. 😂

So, after testing what feels like half the cat-litter aisle:

⭐ Ever Clean – 9/10
⭐ KatKin Scoop Planet – 10/10 🏆

🚐🐾 Looks like we've got a new driver at Fin Feather & Fur! 😂🐶

We're not sure we'd trust him with the school run just yet, but he's certainly got the puppy dog eyes perfected! 👀🤣

He's already volunteered to help with the pick-ups, although we suspect he'll be more interested in the treats and making new friends than actually doing any driving! 🦴🐾

🐾 MEET SCOUT! 🐾

Well, Scout has officially been crowned the winner of our fabulous hamper from our sister company Hodgkins & Roger’s natural treats at the Burbage Common Open Day! 🎉🐶

But the real prize was discovering Scout’s answer to our question:

“What’s the funniest thing your dog has ever done?” 🤣

And Scout’s owner did NOT disappoint…

Apparently, Scout once PEE’D IN HIS OWNER’S EAR! 💦👂😂

Yes. You read that correctly.

We’ve heard some pretty funny dog stories over the years, but Scout has definitely raised the bar… or should we say lowered the leg? 🤣

🐾💜 WHAT A DAY! 💜🐾

We had such a brilliant time at the Burbage Common Open Day today, meeting loads of new furry friends and their lovely humans! 🐶🥰

Lots of lovely chats, plenty of dog talk and lots of gorgeous waggy tails! 🐾

And then there was Jude… 🤦‍♀️😂

Apparently, he didn’t realise today was an open day and not Stay And Play. He spotted the van and promptly jumped straight in! 🚐🐶
“Come on then, where are we going?!” 😂

But Jude wasn’t the only surprise passenger…

We also found a little human hiding in the crate! 👀😂

Don’t worry — it was Kirsty’s daughter, who clearly decided the dog crate looked like the perfect place to hang out! 🤣🐾

We’ve come home with lots of new furry friends, new faces to remember and some very funny memories from the day.

A massive thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and have a chat with us. 💜
