Save the date because, after a successful digital debut in January, Virtual Careers With Animals Day is coming back to your screens on Saturday 9th October 2021! 🤩

This free, online event hosted by The College of Animal Welfare is ideal for those looking for guidance about career opportunities working with animals. 🐶🐱🐰🐴 You’ll get the chance to listen to career talks from a range of key organisations in the animal care and veterinary industry, and have the opportunity to ask questions and gain advice in real time. 💬

There are lots of excellent speakers presenting from organisations including Cats Protection, Abbey House Veterinary Hospital, The Royal Veterinary College (RVC), National Horseracing College, Oyster Worldwide and many more! 🌟 October's event will be particularly useful if you’re interested in training and career opportunities working with animals in Northern England. ✅

CAW Grooming School is currently recruiting for a Dog Grooming and Practical Skills Trainer at their state-of-the-art dog grooming salon inside Campus Vets and Pets! 💈✂️

The role involves delivering quality learning and support to students across a range of grooming courses. 🍎📝🐾 Lecturing or training experience is advantageous, but not essential, as you will join our teacher-training programme and be mentored as your career develops. ✅ Full time, part time or weekend applications are welcome. 🌟

We’re delighted to say that Mandy Carr from The Scissor Boutique will be available on Monday 8 March, to advice our dog grooming students about the right pair of scissors for the type of work they do. 🐶🐾✂️

With 40 years’ experience in the industry, Mandy really knows her stuff and will be able to advise about things such as understanding more about the types of scissors available, how the right scissors can significantly improve your grooming skills and much more. ✅

This month, The College of Animal Welfare want to give something back to our groomin’ marvellous National Health Service (NHS), and all the dedicated staff who work within it. 🌈💙

As such, all dog grooms at their grooming parlour inside Campus Vets and Pets will be free of charge throughout August, in return for a minimum £10 donation to St James’ Hospital in Leeds! They will collect this donation at the time of the groom, and donate it at the end of the month. 🐶🐾
