Please welcome Rita the E-Rifter!

She’ll be confusing pets across Gosport and Lee for a while as she arrives silently for their walks!

Over the next week or so, Rita will be getting fully kitted out for dog transport.

We think she’s going to fit in just perfectly!

Today is National Dog Walker Appreciation Day… who knew?! 😂

We should have given ourselves the day off! But we’d probably have spent it walking our own dogs anyway!

A big shout-out to all the dog walkers out there, keeping dogs happy, safe and well exercised whatever the weather! 🐾❤️

A big thank you to all our lovely clients for your patience while we get fully up and running with Pawloop!

I promise that once we’ve all got used to it, having all your information, bookings and your own personal pet portal in one place will be amazing!

📅 Dates for your diary

Pen’s Pets will be on holiday from 26th October to 1st November, returning to work on 2nd November.

And as we are now in the first “ber” month, I can mention Christmas! 🎄🤶

We will be closed for dog walks and boarding from 23rd December to 27th December, returning to work for everyone on 28th December.

Big news for our clients.

We have joined PawLoop, so bookings, invoices and updates will all be in one place! Just bare with us whilst we change from one system to another!!

You will get your own client portal where you can see your upcoming visits, check your invoices and keep your pet's details up to date.

Keep an eye on your inbox, your invite is on its way, we have already invited many of you and we are working our way through everyone else!

This is so exciting and will hopefully make everything a little bit smoother!😁🐾

Welcome to the ‘ber’ months! 🍂

My favourite time of year! It’s still warm but not too hot—perfect for dog walks—and it’s nearly time for us to be allowed back on all the beaches too!

Bring on the cosy evenings, comfort food and a little Christmas sparkle… is it too soon?

Just no surprise heatwave, please… I’m ready for autumn!

P.S. Martyn is less keen on the upcoming cold… 😂

The prayers of dog walkers across the UK have finally been answered today!

RAIN!! Actual, proper rain! Albeit briefly!!

After what feels like an endless summer of heat, early starts, rearranging walks and desperately searching for shade, I don’t think we’ve ever been so pleased to get soaked!
The woofs are happy, the dog walkers are happy and the very crispy grass is definitely happy!

Give us a week and we’ll probably be complaining about the mud… but today we’re embracing it!

Another little heat update!

Please keep an eye on WhatsApp for any changes to walks and visits. We’ve planned ahead for the heat as much as we can, but things are still changing as we go to make sure everyone stays safe.
As always, your pets’ safety is our first priority.

We’re moving walks to as early as humanly possible and once it becomes too warm for safe walks, using pop-in visits instead so the woofs can have a comfort break, some company and plenty of fuss.

It’s been a long, hard summer for those of us working in the dog walking world. While the unexpected extra time at home can be lovely, the reality is that changing walks, cancellations and vastly reduced working hours do have a financial impact on small businesses like ours.

Sadly, I’ve seen so many fellow dog walkers struggling this summer, and even a few having to close their businesses completely. Please don’t worry — Pen’s Pets is not in that position, but it has certainly been a stark reminder of just how fragile running your own small business can sometimes be.

We’ll always put the dogs before the diary and the money, and we’re incredibly grateful for your understanding when we have to shuffle things around at short notice.
