🐱⏰ This is the face of a cat who is READY to go home! 😂

Meet Marty! When he visited us recently, his brother was busy having his vaccinations, while Marty was clearly keeping one eye on the clock and waiting patiently for home time! 🏡🐾

Marty was such a character during his visit and had us all laughing! We think he had quite enough of the vet's for one day and was ready to clock off! 🤣❤️

We love meeting all your wonderful pets and their unique little personalities! 💕🐾

✨ Meet the beautiful Sparkle! ✨🐱💖

Sparkle popped in to see us today for her Solensia injection, helping to keep her comfortable and manage the pain associated with arthritis. 🐾

Solensia is a monthly injection for cats that helps control the pain associated with osteoarthritis, making it easier for them to get around and enjoy their everyday activities. ❤️

Sparkle has also recently had a lovely groom and was looking absolutely stunning when she came to visit us today! Just look at that gorgeous girl! 😻✨

Arthritis is common in cats, but the signs can sometimes be subtle. If your feline friend seems less active, is struggling to jump, or is a little stiffer than usual, they could be experiencing joint pain.

📞 If you're concerned that your pet may be struggling with arthritis, give us a call! We'd be happy to discuss the options available to help keep them comfortable and enjoying life.

Lots of love to gorgeous Sparkle! 💕

This morning, we had the pleasure of meeting the gorgeous Tara, who came in for her very first set of puppy vaccinations! 💉🐾

Tara is the sweetest, cuddliest little girl, and Meghan simply couldn’t resist sneaking in some extra puppy cuddles! 🥹💕 Needless to say, she certainly brightened up our morning! 🩷

🐾 George Update! 🐾

For all our lovely clients who remember seeing Meghan with her tiny hand-reared kitten George a couple of months ago, we have a lovely update for you! ❤️🐱

George has now been reunited with his family and has been rehomed alongside one of his brothers. We’re so happy to share that he is absolutely thriving in his new home! 🥹💕

At Winton Lodge Vets, we’ll always go the extra mile to help an animal in need, and Meghan is particularly dedicated when it comes to caring for our tiniest patients. Hand-rearing little ones takes an enormous amount of time, patience and love, but seeing them grow, thrive and find their happy endings makes it all worthwhile. 🍼🐾

We couldn’t be happier for George and his brother, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two little boys! ❤️

🐾 Say hello to the beautiful Poppy! 💕🐶

We started our morning off on a lovely note with a VIP puppy visit from this gorgeous girl! 🥰 Poppy is always so happy to see everyone, and her visits never fail to put a smile on our faces. What a lovely little puppy she is! ❤️

Did you know that with our VIP Health Plan, your puppy can enjoy regular health checks as they grow, vaccinations, parasite protection and 10% off selected treatments, all while helping you spread the cost of their preventative healthcare! 🩺🐾

Our VIP puppies get to see us regularly throughout their first few months, helping us make sure they're growing into happy, healthy little dogs. And of course, we get plenty of puppy cuddles along the way! 🐶💗

A big cuddle for Poppy from all of us at Winton Lodge Vets! 🐾

🐾 Meet our brave little patient!🐱💕

This beautiful boy came in to see us today for his first kitten check-up, as he’d been feeling a little under the weather. 🩺

Despite not feeling his best, he was an absolute superstar and the best-behaved little patient! He was so brave throughout his check-up, and we couldn’t be prouder of him. 🥹💙

We hope you’re feeling much better very soon, little one! 🐾✨

🐾 A little Poppy update! 🐾

This beautiful girl came in to see us again this evening and, once again, absolutely made our day! 🥹❤️

Poppy is growing so beautifully, and it’s clear to see just how adored she is. There’s nothing quite like watching our little VIPs grow up, and we feel very lucky to get to see this gorgeous girl regularly for her puppy check-ups! 🐶💕

Such a lovely baby! We can’t wait to see you again soon, Poppy! 🥰🐾

🐾 A little update on Woody! 🐾

Today, our lovely Nurse Molly popped in with her kitten, Woody, for a repeat blood test. ❤️

On Saturday morning, Woody was unusually quiet, which immediately raised alarm bells for Molly. She brought him in to be checked over, and we ran a blood test that showed some abnormalities.

Woody was given treatment, and Molly brought him back today so we could repeat his blood test and see how things are looking.

It’s always a reminder of just how important it is to know your pets and recognise when something isn’t quite right. Even subtle changes in behaviour can be worth investigating, especially in our little ones! 🐱💕

We’ll be keeping our fingers and paws crossed for Woody! 🐾❤️

🐾 Meet Casey! 🐾

This beautiful girl was recently rescued by her lovely new owner, who was looking forward to giving her a fresh start and a loving forever home. ❤️

There was just one little surprise… it turns out Casey is pregnant! It seems she may have come with a little more than her new owner bargained for, perhaps she was on a multi-cat offer! 😂🐱🐱

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this gorgeous girl and making sure she gets all the care and support she needs during this exciting time 💕🐾

🎆 Fireworks season is here! 🎆

Some dogs (and cats!) find fireworks absolutely terrifying. The loud bangs, bright flashes and unfamiliar sounds can cause our furry friends a huge amount of stress and anxiety. 🐶🐱

There are a few things you can do to help your pets feel safer during fireworks season:

🐾 Keep them indoors – Walk dogs before dark and keep cats inside if possible.

🏡 Create a safe space – Set up a cosy, quiet den where your pet can hide and feel secure.

🎵 Mask the noise – Close windows and curtains, and put on the TV or some gentle music to help muffle the bangs.

❤️ Offer comfort and reassurance – Let your pet come to you for comfort if they need it. Never force them to interact if they'd rather hide.

🚪 Keep them secure – Make sure doors, windows and gardens are secure to prevent frightened pets from escaping.

🐕 Never take dogs to firework displays – Even normally confident dogs can become frightened by unexpected noises.

If your pet struggles with fireworks, please give us a call. We can help you explore ways to manage their anxiety and make this time of year a little less stressful.

We've also shared some helpful advice from the Dogs Trust poster below. Please give it a read and share it with other pet owners to help keep our four-legged friends safe and happy this fireworks season! 💙
