Dotty is struggling with some discomfort in her left shoulder and carries a lot of tension through her back. 🤕

Using a combination of laser, massage and heat therapy, Dotty is already moving more freely and comfortably, and even had a little snooze in her session 💤

Dotty is such a gentle and sweet girl and I’m looking forward to seeing her again soon 🤍🩶

There’s something very special about a dog fully relaxing into a treatment session. 💛

Today was Tess’s first introduction to massage and laser therapy. She started off a little unsure and anxious, but then something just switched and you could visibly see her relax and sink into the treatment 🥰 😴

Welcome to your rehab journey Tess 🐶💛

🥰Older dogs need some TLC too 🥰

Have you noticed that your dog is slowing down a little?
Or struggling to get up on the sofa?
Or hesitating on stairs just that little bit longer than usual?

These are all subtle signs that your dog could be in pain and finding every day activities more difficult that they used to.

✅Massage and laser therapy can help to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation and slow down the progression of arthritis. Regular treatments can improve your dog’s mobility and help keep them feeling better for longer, without relying soly on pain medication.

🚗I offer a mobile service so your older pup can stay at home where they are most comfortable 🏡

📞Please get in touch to find out more - I work under veterinary referral so will liaise closely with your dog’s vet to ensure treatment is appropriate and effective.

I think Ruby enjoyed her treatment today…what do you think?! 😃🤔

Thank you to Ruby’s mum for your lovely feedback 😊

“My Cavapoochon Ruby was recovering from recent cruciate ligament surgery. After 8 weeks post op I contacted Alice at Canine Massage and Movement, to help aid her recovery with massage and laser therapy.
Alice came and observed Ruby walking and examined her mobility. She devised a treatment plan for her. She was patient and gentle with her talking reassuringly to her all the time whilst carrying out her treatment.
Ruby was so relaxed and I would say actually enjoyed her massage, she even fell fast asleep at one point!
Following on from her first treatment she was moving more freely.”

Stretching! 🙆‍♀️

🌟 Evidence shows that stretching increases flexibility, reduces risk of injury and can improve performance.

❌ When muscles and supporting tissues are overused or underused they begin to tighten and shrink.

🌟 Regular stretching will help reduce the restriction and shortening progression.

🌟 I use a combination of static and dynamic stretches to target specific muscle groups that can help lead to:
✅ improved balance
✅ posture and symmetry
✅ increased flexibility
✅ improved proprioception (body awareness)
✅ improved movement patterns and gait
✅ increased strength
✅ improved joint range of motion

🌟 Stretching can be a valuable part of a conditioning, strengthening or rehabilitation programme, so get in touch to find out how I can help your dog!

Welcome to your therapy journey Lunar ❤️

Lunar has some offloading of her left forelimb when she sits, noticed by her very observant owners. 👀Subtle changes in your dog’s posture, movement or behaviour can be hard to spot, but this doesn’t mean the small changes aren’t important as quite often they can signify areas of pain, discomfort or tension.

Being proactive with your dog’s health can help avoid more serious, long term issues in the future, helping to keep them active, mobile and happy 🥰

Lunar aced her initial consultation and I’m looking forward to getting her feeling tip top again 😃

Who’s this handsome chap 🤩

Zeus has come to me for rehab post elbow surgery, as well as to manage his chronic arthritis in his hips and lower back. 📝

Our aim is to reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, improve range of motion and slow down the progression of his arthritis 💪

Zeus loves his massage and laser treatment and is the easiest boy to treat - he just needed a fan on him to keep him cool in these temps! 🥵
