Learning to keep my mouth shut, my head down and my goals to myself a little more...

I’ve always been one for putting everything out there, but this season I tried doing things a little differently. Less talking, more focus, and just getting on with the bloody job.

Nothing major, just a few small changes, but I’ve definitely felt the difference.

The plans are there, the work is underway, and the people who need to know, know.

Now let’s see if we can make the fu***ng ground shake. 🖤

The studs are unscrewed, the ramps are lifted and Season 2 with Barry is officially done. 🥂🐴

So, naturally, the only sensible thing to do is reduce the whole season to some completely meaningful statistics…

🏇 11 events entered
✅ 9 completed
✨ 3 double clears
🏆 1 win (still slightly baffled by this one)
🔟 4 top 10 finishes
💥 1 elimination — character building
🥴 12 SJ poles down — some more enthusiastically than others
🏅 4 FODs
🎯 1 sub-30 dressage score — look at us being all fancy
🎟️ 3 regional tickets won
🌳 1 qualification for Badminton 2027 — WHAT?!
💸 £1 million spent*
📣 Countless “GOOD BOYYYYY!”s shouted
😂 and a frankly ridiculous amount of fun had

*Possibly a slight exaggeration. But only slightly.

And then there’s this…

1 very lucky 49-year-old who is feeling ridiculously happy, incredibly grateful and more excited than ever for whatever Season 3 has in store.

What a horse. What a year. ❤️

Now, where did I put those studs…?

Life is REALLY lifing this week…

Will is very poorly, the horses are not enjoying being left alone, Ziggy is getting his balls chopped off ✂️🐶 and work is currently doing its absolute best to finish me off.

The plates are wobbling.
All of them. 😂

Just keeping everything spinning and hoping nothing actually hits the floor. 🫠🐴
