⚠️ Grass Seeds ⚠️
It's the time of year when grass seeds and fox tails are prevalent. Each year, we see pets come in with grass seeds and fox tails caught in their feet, ears, and even their tonsils.
Did you know they can pop up anywhere, even on walks around the block - not just in fields. Always check your dog's paws after a walk, especially if they're hairy! 🐾
Signs of embedded grass seeds/fox tails include:
- Licking of the feet
- Swelling and/or discharge between the toes
- Shaking of ears
- Gagging or retching unproductively
Keep an eye out on your walks - grass seeds and fox tails can be easy to miss, but checking your dog's paws can help catch them early.
