Incase you don’t know, they are an incredibly intense and driven working breed, often naturally sceptical and reserved around people they don’t know. They don’t give their trust freely, but once you’ve earned your place within their trusted circle, you discover a completely different side of them. The love, affection, loyalty and cheekiness they share with their people is truly beyond words — a bond that feels incredibly special, deeply rewarding and I am so fortunate ans thankful to have such amazing relationships with these beauties 💖

I am forever grateful that my customers trust me with and value me like a fsmy member. And especially in this heatwave when I have been collecting dogs at 6am to make sure everyone is happy and safe before the heat strikes.

4th heatwave of the year, so far... Thank goodness we've got our 3-in-1 bottle to keep everyone hydrated.

This bottle has genuinely changed our routine on walks, it's so easy to keep nearly 1L of water (or goats milk, if we're spoiling the pups) cool, with its across the body bag making sure my hands are free for plenty of photos. Here at Happy Hiking Hounds, I am a BIG advocate for ALL dogs being muzzle trained. You never know why a dog is wearing a muzzle, and you never know when your own dog will need to wear one.

Cooperative care isn't about making your dog love ear cleaning or any other care aspect —it's about giving them a choice and respecting their communication. 💙

Your dog doesn't have to be comfortable with every step. They just need to have the opportunity to consent.

When they choose to participate, we listen. If they opt out, we respect that information instead of pushing through. Over time, that trust builds confidence, and care becomes something you do with your dog, not to them.

Progress isn't measured by how quickly you finish the ear clean—it's measured by how safe your dog feels throughout the process.
