Hi everyone!
For most of September we are away! Still here currently, but not for much longer😍☀️Spending some time on holiday with friends in Portugal and some of it will be in Scotland at an extra trimming course! This means if you need your horse trimming soon, please get in touch asap as we have limited time left in September before we go away. Whilst we are away, we won't be answering any messages or comments at all. So if any changes or cancellations are needed for appointments already booked, again please let us know asap.
Pop us a message if you need any urgent trims, regular clients we will try to make sure all next trim dates are booked and confirmed before we leave the country😊we will spend the next week or so planning dates and times, so keep an eye on messages so we can be very organised😀

Paradise's genetics testing has come back as a rare Palomino/cream pearl😲
The first photo is the first pic we saw from the previous owner, he looked like a young sweet palomino. We had no idea he had the pearl gene at this stage😍
We sent off some of his hair, and he has one cream gene and one pearl gene on a red base. This is rare and only usually found in some Spanish breeds and Iberian bloodlines, very uncommon to be seen in cobs! The pearl dilution gene is an unusual recessive gene. Palomino pearl is considered a 'pseudo double dilute' created when a horse has one cream gene and one pearl gene with red base.
When we have him a quick bath, we saw the incredibly shiny pearlescent sheen appearing on him, it really is a striking sight when he's scrubbed up. We are both fascinated by genetics, so to learn Paradise's genetics got us very excited😍

Something a bit different!!
Did you know ⁉️
When me and Jess first met, one of our first conversations was around the fact that we both had spoilt house rabbits!

We are both super passionate about rabbit welfare, and have both kept house rabbits for many years! These fluffy little critters are so much more than they get credit for😍 with the right care, they’re as rewarding as dogs and cats.

Unfortunately we still see way too many rabbits being kept in tiny, cramped and unhygienic living situations. With our background, it’s always hard to see!

That’s why we really want to help support our friend heather from Estuary Small Animal Rescue !

We have swapped rabbits for cats nowadays, but I’m sure our home will open back up to a fluffle of buns one day! In the meantime, Heather is helping re home so many neglected and abandoned buns!

Please go support her page if you can! And if you’re getting rabbits: adopt, don’t shop! Do your research before hand. These little critters can be incredibly fragile, requiring year round preventative veterinary care, plenty of space, friends, and the best part? They can live up to 15 years! 😍

How we made the ridiculously fluffy and comfy sheepskin seat saver!!

The new favourite set up for new pony Paradise😍
Edix courville pad, with Icelandic sheepskin that we sew by hand onto an Elico memory foam seat saver on top of the Total contact saddle. Took a couple of hours to sew it properly, but super happy how it's turned out.
Insanely comfy!!!!!!😍And going to be so warm in winter😍
We put the Edix pad on first, then the Total contact saddle, with the handmade sheepskin seat saver velcro-d on top of the TCS. So that the sheepskin is removable in seconds and wont ever be ridden in the rain etc. All fully adjustable and removable! And PINK! 🩷
