Some anxious dogs are not afraid of grooming itself. They are worried about what might happen next.

At home, you have an opportunity no groomer can recreate--you can make small pieces of care feel familiar in the place your dog already feels safest. Using the same brush, the same quiet spot, and the same gentle order gives your dog a pattern they can begin to recognize.

That routine does not have to be perfect or complicated. It might be as simple as letting your dog see the brush, touching one easy area, offering praise, and stopping while everyone is still comfortable.

You know what helps your dog settle better than anyone. When you share that with your groomer, we can use the familiar pieces you built at home to make the appointment feel more predictable.

You do not have to erase every nervous feeling. You are helping your dog discover that care can follow a safe, understandable pattern--and that is a powerful place to begin.

Cancellation, Late Cancellation & Missed Appointments

To help me run my diary smoothly, I kindly ask for a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. This gives me the best chance of filling your appointment slot and helps protect my small business.

Late Cancellations
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full, as it is very unlikely I will be able to fill the space at such short notice.

Missed Appointments (No Shows)
If you miss your appointment without letting me know, or I have to contact you regarding your missed appointment, the full cost of the groom will be payable. Any future appointments may also be cancelled until the outstanding balance has been settled.

I really appreciate your understanding. As a self-employed groomer, if a client doesn’t attend, I don’t get paid. I don’t receive sick pay or holiday pay, so every appointment is important to my livelihood. Thank you for supporting my small business and for respecting my time.

Price Increase Notice

Dear Clients,

This has been a difficult decision to make, but unfortunately due to increasing costs I will have to update my prices from 1st September.

Grooming prices are based on your dog’s individual needs and can vary depending on factors such as coat condition, matting, coat compaction, and behaviour during the groom (for example, biting or excessive stress).

From September, I will also be providing all clients with a copy of my updated Terms & Conditions, which will include starting prices for each service. Please note that the final price may vary from groom to groom depending on your dog’s coat, behaviour, and the time and work required.

I hope you understand the need for this change and I thank you for your continued support and trust. It is greatly appreciated.
