What a fascinating week in the wee Therapy Room.
I don't advertise (what would be the point? What would I say? How do I explain? Any thoughts appreciated).
The people who come to see me have either blethered to me over their horse's back as I'm Rolfing the horse and figured I'm ok to trust with what is bothering their mind or their family member or friend or colleague has passed on my number and said CALL PAULINE! I'm seeing children of parents - who I first taught as children!
That fact that new clients WANT to come and see me means that they are already half way to healing themselves as they are driving to their appointment. Booking the appointment is the only hard thing you'll have to do. The rest is up to me to facilitate.
October and November are big milestone markers for me ... 2026 is 31 years since I certified as a Massage Therapist down in London (2 weeks after I got married! In Edinburgh - whilst living in Surrey!)... I had to stop teaching Pilates a few years ago but I still have 25 years of Advanced Instructor knowledge in my head when the need arises and last week was my 22nd year as a Rolfer.
I have yet to find my one liner for what I do. Any suggestions?
I keep learning, every single client brings me a learning.

After 30 plus years of working with the body and 12 years of learning about the mind... whatever ailment or illness you come in with... we start with your mind first.
Dr Ida Pauline Rolf in the 1960's came up with her principles.
The Meta Principle is WHOLISM - when you touch the body in one place, you are talking to EVERY system in the body at the same time.
One of the sub principles is ADAPTABILITY - you can only work with what is available for change at THAT moment.
You can't force change, you can only INVITE change.
And... for every physical release? There's a concurrent emotional release. And if you're not ready emotionally?
There's nothing I can help you with physically.
If I win the lottery, I honestly would love to give every single client in my first 15 years of Practice a free session as blimey do I have an extra dimension with all these last 12 years of Headspace trainings.

Using the Hoofproof app has got much easier with improvements to uploading and editing of photos in app.
This means checking on progress such as pics of this ponies foot from January (bottom pic) to July can be done quickly even if like me you forget which way you held your phone the last time!!
Record keeping needs to be easy for us to use it and now it is!
