It is run and overseen by Amie Woodjetts the owner of sit stay training. Amie is a multi-certified, highly qualified and incredibly experienced dog trainer for over 20 years.

All dogs are individual and its our priority to ensure plenty of fun and happiness on our walks that suits all needs.

Your dog will be walked with carefully selected, well socialised dogs in small groups.

Alternatively, if your dog prefers one to one walks then a private walk could be the best option.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! I hope 2024 brings joy and happiness to all 🌟

Thank you, to all of my customers/friends and your wonderful doggies this year. We have completed some immense training and for some we are just beginning a wonderful journey, which I am looking foward to continuing.

Its been a tough year for me personally, I have lost two of my best friends Barnes and Bella. Its beyond words how painful I have found it as a dog mum. They both taught me so much about canine behaviour, both in their own unique ways. They will always live on through my training.

Rescue dogs are my passion, and that is something that keeps my fire alive as a dog owner, dog lover, and trainer. Helping dogs that need it. This photo is my gorgeous Violet. My rescue baby. There is plenty more to come from her over the coming year with her progress with me.

The new year brings many new exciting things to come for Sit Stay Training. Lots of new classes, workshops and of course the 1-2-1 s 🤜🤛 🐶

Is your dog older and struggling with mobility?

Is your dog recovering from surgery and on restricted exercise?

Are you looking for something new to do with your dog?

Join the fastest growing dog sport in the UK and turn your dog into a detective!
Scent work is beneficial for ALL dogs. Providing mental enrichment, it’s a low impact gentle exercise with a purpose.

The aim in these classes is to give you the skills to train and take part in scent training activities with your dog, just like the working ‘sniffer dog’!
Join the course and your dog will be given positive scent experiences. Teaching them to work and play with scent improves their life. This can also help rectify problems when it comes to behaviour.

Some of the benefits of scent work;

Mental stimulation - Gives your dog a positive focus that benefits everyone.

Physical workout - 10 minutes of scent work is more tiring than an hour run.

Creates happy dogs - Scientifically proven that sniffing releases happy endorphins.

The power of nose work is endless!

Over the 6 week course we will cover the UK sniffer dog Bronze series 1 & 2. You and your dog will have fun doing bag searches, vehicle searches and much more! At the end of this course your dog will be able to search and find a KONG piece that is 3mm in size! We finish with a mock trial on the last session.

Work with your dog as a team, have fun and watch your dog succeed doing the thing they do best…SNIFF!

The next six week course starts Saturday 21st January at the Hurstpierpoint village centre.
