Welcome Wednesday 🐾💚

A big Happy Hougham Hounds welcome to Cosmo! 🐾 Cosmo is an ex-racing Greyhound who has now enjoying the lovely, quiet and stress-free life that every dog deserves. 💚

He is such a gentle soul and an absolute delight to walk. He’ll happily just walk, walk, walk, walk - although, being a Greyhound, we all know that after a bit of exercise, he’ll be more than happy to curl up and sleep the day away! 😂

Now, Cosmo v squirrels - he's such a chilled boy so that the bark that comes out when he sees a squirrel has made me jump twice now! 🐿️

He’s also brilliant at calming back down quickly after spotting something, which is lovely to see. Especially as he actually owns his village, and apparently all other village dogs nee to be reminded of that fact!🫣😄 I’m really looking forward to lots more adventures, gentle strolls and hopefully not too many surprise squirrel appearances!

Thirsty

Basil has always been a thirsty boy, so when the water comes out, there’s absolutely no messing about.

While some of my hounds politely sniff the bowl, turn their heads and pretend they’ve never heard of water before😟Basil is more of a “gimme that water bowl now!" kind of dog. 😂

Look at that little face! 🥹

A good drink after a walk is always important, especially when it’s warm - and Basil is clearly taking his hydration responsibilities very seriously.

Nose down. Tongue out. Happy hound. 🐾💚

Welcome Wednesday 🐾

A big Happy Hougham Hounds welcome to Chester and Yenny! Two lovely little pups I’ve been walking for a couple of weeks now.

Chester is a Cockapoo - although you’d definitely be forgiven for thinking he’s more Cocker than 'poo! - and he’s just celebrated his first birthday. 🎂 Happy belated birthday, Chester! Yenny is a two-year-old Cocker Spaniel and a recent addition to the family, having been adopted. So, erm, does that make her Chester’s older sister because she’s older, or his younger sister because she’s the newest member of the family? 🤔 Either way, they’re a gorgeous pair😍

Both are super friendly, bundles of energy and clearly love a good sniff. There’s nothing better than watching a pair of spaniels with their noses firmly to the ground, investigating every single scent.

I’m looking forward to lots more lovely walks, sniffs and adventures with them both. Welcome to the gang Chester and Yenny! 💚

Thirsty Tuesday 💦🌭

If Carlsberg made sausage dogs😂

I genuinely don’t think we could improve on Gadd the Sausage.

Look at him. 🥹 That is quite possibly the most perfect picture of a sausage dog enjoying a well-earned drink of water.

And if you look closely - the tail!

That little waggy, waggy tail going approximately 90 miles an hour in the background while the rest of him is completely focused on the important business of hydration.

Absolutely adorable. 💚

Honestly, if there’s a better advert for “happy sausage dog having a drink”, I haven’t seen it.

If Carlsberg made sausage dogs - they’d probably make Gadd. 🍺🌭😂
