Today we're wishing all our lovely reptile patients and their owners a very happy Reptile Awareness Day!
This day is celebrated annually on October 21st and is an international event designed to celebrate the incredible diversity of reptiles, and raise awareness of the threats they face in the wild.
We're celebrating here today by caring for our reptile inpatient, Mochi, a stunning juvenile Bearded Dragon. Mochi was showing signs of poor growth and diarrhoea, and faecal analysis confirmed a very high burden of two different types of gastrointestinal parasite. Here's Mochi having his daily weight check while undergoing treatment here in the hospital. We love looking after you Mochi and hope you continue to feel better each day!
