Frankie had a little home visit today for a tidy-up 🐾💛

She’s a beautiful Maine C**n and has so much hair! We focused on removing a few mats and giving her a full brush out and bum trim to make things a bit easier to manage at home.

She was such a good girl throughout and took the bribery of treats very seriously!

Always nice to help keep on top of things early with these long-haired babies — makes such a difference for them day to day, especially in the heat 🐱

🐾 Had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous girl last week for a little manicure ✂️💚

Even indoor cats can benefit from regular nail trims. Without the natural wear and tear that outdoor cats experience, claws can become quite long and sharp over time.

Keeping nails neatly trimmed can help to:

🐈 20-50% of cats over the age of 15 have some degree of chronic kidney disease (CKD) present, making it one of the most common conditions seen in older cats.

Around ⅔ of the total functioning kidney tissue of both kidneys needs to be lost before signs of CKD will be seen.

Look out for these signs in your cat 👇

🐱 Poor appetite
🐱 Increased thirst
🐱 Increased urination
🐱 Loss of weight
🐱 Lethargy

🏥 Talk to your vet about regular health checks for senior cats to help detect the signs of CKD. Support and treatment recommended by your vet can help to slow the progression of the disease and improve your cat’s quality of life.
