I had the privilege to welcome the wonderful Sheba to The Cat Butler Hornchurch this summer. While she's an older lady at 13, she loves exploring the garden and always comes running for her treats!

Her owner thought she might be quite shy with me, but she was immediately open to cuddles and would constantly flop over for me to scratch her belly. It took me all week to catch it on camera!

Today we are celebrating the absolute icons of the cat world: our fiery, ginger babies! To mark the occasion, I want to introduce you to The Cat Butler Hornchurch’s very own fiery lady: Olive! 🐾🧡

Olive is 13 years young and a textbook ginger cat. She was an absolute menace as a kitten and obsessed with food like a dog; but now she has relaxed into an intensely cuddly, lazy older lady!
Her daily routine consists mostly of sleeping, seeking out lap time, and eating as much as possible.

💡 3 Fun Facts About Our Favourite Orange Felines:
Around 80% of ginger cats are male! The gene that produces their striking orange colour is on the X chromosome, meaning females need two copies of the gene to be ginger -making lovely ladies like Olive extra special!

Every single ginger cat is a tabby! Whether they have bold stripes, swirls, or subtle spots, there is no such thing as a solid orange cat without a tabby pattern underneath.

They all wear their iconic "M" shape proudly on their foreheads!

🎡 Spinning the Wheel for Rescue Cats! ☀️🐾

What a fantastic day spent at the Valence House Summer Market in Dagenham last weekend! 🏰✨

With over 30 amazing local businesses, brilliant family entertainment, and glorious sunshine, the turnout from our local community was incredible.

I was there representing The Cat Butler Hornchurch to raise vital funds and awareness for a new A New Beginning cat rescue, who do such important work rescuing and rehoming cats across Dagenham and Havering. 🏡❤️

A 'Spin the Wheel' game was a massive hit with both kids and adults, with everyone aiming high to take home the top prize: a cuddly toy cat! 🧸🐾

I was also thrilled to be joined on the stall by Nicola from the rescue, who was on hand to chat with visitors about the gorgeous cats and kittens currently searching for their forever homes. 🐈‍⬛

Thanks to everyone's generosity, we raised a total of £98 directly for the rescue! 🎉💶

Every penny raised goes straight toward vet care and resources for local cats in need. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, took a spin on the wheel, and supported such a wonderful cause!

I’m so happy to introduce the gorgeous Bennie from Aveley! Bennie is such a loving, sweet soul with a remarkable knack for gazing right into your eyes.

He’s also a total foodie who takes his breakfast and treat time very seriously! Bennie isn’t one to waste precious energy rushing around for playtime; he prefers a much more relaxed, cozy routine.

Our little morning ritual went like this: he’d happily munch his breakfast while I fed the fish, and then we’d just sit quietly together soaking up the cuddles. 🐠🥣❤️

🖤 Happy National Black Cat Appreciation Day! 🖤

To celebrate, I wanted to introduce you all to The Cat Butler Hornchurch’s very own resident VIP: Noah! 🐾

Noah is a gorgeous, fluffy 15-year-old black cat, and I have loved him since he was a tiny kitten. His story started when a lovely friend of mine took in a pregnant stray, I said I would 'just have a look'...and Noah has been ruling my heart ever since.

While he is super shy and tends to hide away when strangers visit, behind closed doors, he is the ultimate goofy boy! He is incredibly sweet, gentle, and despite being a grandad in cat years, he is still super active and looks absolutely fantastic for his age. 🐈‍⬛💥
